We try hard to keep our yard free of this invasive grass, it does tend to creep up on the edges of our yard. The seeds can cause issues for dogs if it gets in their ears so please keep a close eye on them if they like to sniff around the fenceline. We have two options for off-leash play time: an open, 1-acre pasture that is partially fenced and bordered by the canal for water breaks (canal is active April-October). We also have a fully fenced yard that is roughly 1/3 acre bordering our house. Either are available for your pup to play alone, or play with my 1-yr & 5-us old Mini Aussie pups. Our neighbors have goats, horses and chickens nearby, but they are in a fenced area and not directly against our property. Perfect for chuck-it sessions with canal breaks and tons of lush, pasture grass.

Right here in town, no need to go far! Pull up a chair (or the hammock in the summer) and enjoy the dappled shade while your pup gets their zoomies on! A nice expanse of lawn, plenty of trees and rocks to sniff, and a few stretches of dirt to roll around in. Please note: our new neighbors to the east have dogs that sometimes play in the yard next door.
