***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. Inspired by our beloved dog, Storm, who found his bliss in these very waters, we’ve created a sanctuary in his memory not just for him, but for all dogs who love to swim, play, and simply be the happiest versions of themselves. Nestled in the heart of our tranquil backyard, our pool offers a serene escape for dogs and their owners alike. Designed with love, it’s the perfect size for dogs of all breeds to swim comfortably and safely. The pool is equipped with easy-access steps. The deep end of the pool is approximately 5 feet deep and the shallowest part is approximately 3 feet deep. While your fur baby enjoys the pool, relax on our poolside loungers or on patio chairs shaded under an umbrella. Doggy lifejackets will not be available on site but it is recommended to bring your own. Please bring your own dog toys/balls and towels. Please note the pool is a chlorine pool. There is a hose available if you would like to rinse off your dog after swimming. We’d like to ask all visitors to please brush their pups before visiting the pool. It helps to manage the hair left over in the pool and for other guests experiences. I have 2 large rescue dogs and know how important it can be to find a safe space for them to run and play in that's off leash. Lots of room for zoomies, toys and the agility structure is a hit with all the dogs. Reinforced lattice and bottoms of the fence so it's great for tiny dogs too! 100% private so there will be no other dogs in the backyard at the time of your visit; so perfect for reactive dogs to safely enjoy some zoomies and off-leash play! Reservations are always 100% Private; just you and your pup! You may hear my neighbours or neighborhood dogs, but once you're in the backyard, you won't see anyone :) Lot's of toys and activities for dogs including dog sprinkler and wading pool for hot days. Tons of comfy seating and huge deck with table for their humans to relax and watch them get their zoomies out!

Within this half acre, we also have a smaller 30x30' fenced area, which can be used to introduce two dogs safely before letting them have full run of the yard. This smaller fenced are is also useful if you are training dogs outside (which is how I myself use it, as I train dogs for a living!) There is some DIY agility equipment within the smaller fenced area - please do NOT let your dog urinate on the equipment! We have doggy bags located throughout the yard.

Slatmill for dogs included for rental use (please bring your own harness if you plan on using it). Spring pole in our covered potty yard is availed for use, it comes with a ball but you may bring any toy attachment you like. Wall climb is also included in rental (you will need to bring your own Velcro style wall climb toy, belay rope available for larger dogs who can’t be caught). Lots of parking available. No access to bathrooms. Clean up supplies for accidents provided, water tap available for dogs, please bring your own bowl. Please note, our 2nd potty yard at the far side is not currently available for use. Please do NOT use crate in room (you may bring your own if needed). Please wear indoor shoes.

We have a fire pit with seating in one of the grass acres. There are no longer Alpacas and goats here as they’ve moved to the farm down the road. But you will come across Canadian Geese and Wild Turkeys, and sometimes Deer. As you drive by the red barn to the parking area you will sometimes see our dog friendly dog Butch in his gated area most likely sleeping! 😄 Once you reach your parking it is private and you are alone.
