Outside faucet with clean, potable water available along with several kiddie pools, benches, and playground equipment for the two-legged kids. Paws4ever is an animal welfare sanctuary located on 20 acres in Mebane. The sniffspot field is an agility field that is rarely used at our facility. You and your pup can enjoy using some of our agility equipment or just enjoy the lovely open field on our campus.

Our little slice of heaven is certified a National Wildlife Refuge. So there is a large variety of birds and pollinators. We have a walking/bike riding trail, dog sensory gardens, an orchard to pick fruit from when in season, splash pool, agility equipment, horses next door to get to know, meadows to play in and sometimes there are foster puppies.

I have a 9 foot privacy fence surrounding most of the yard, which can be latched but is never locked. I have grassy, gravelly, and mulchy areas for the pups and a seating area for the humans. There are no resident dogs. There is an artist who works in the garage and comes and goes, but she will be cognizant when dogs are visiting. Let me know if you have questions 😊

We raise sheep and goats so you may see some sheep/goat manure in our fields. Our location is very private: our own driveway, off the main road, secluded behind neighboring horse farms. Sweetwater Court Dog Playground is perfect for the pet who needs a break to run and play or for someone who needs safety for dogs and children to play. This is not just our yard; it is our field to the side of our house and a little more than half an acre is fenced. Another 5 1/2 acres offers privacy and serenity. Feel free to let your pet run through the fenced field and dig in the garden. We don’t mind! There is plenty of interesting areas for your pet to explore and run and a lot for them to sniff and explore. The field is mowed weekly and may have some bare spots, mud and occasionally dog poop. Just please let us know if there will be additional cars. Can we take pictures? YES, PLEASE DO. Is there an entrance fee for people? No, only dogs. Can we bring lunch? Yes, we have a picnic table. We offer a fully fenced private backyard oasis that is perfect for both dogs and their human friends! We have 1/4 acre play yard that provides plenty of shade for our guests from the large oak tree on property. Human guests are welcome to use the outdoor chairs on the deck that overlooks play area for dogs. Deck has gates so smaller dogs can have their own secure area if needed. Muddy paws? No thanks! Our property has beautifully landscaped with turf, which is low maintenance for easy cleanup. We provide water bowls, a hose (for quick clean up if needed), and a doggy trash can. The Fire pit can be used but guests need to provider their own wood and kindling. We hope you enjoy our special retreat in the city!
