55We will be back! A beautiful space with so many nice touches; toys, water bowls, water, poop trash, picnic table, etc.
55Excellent place to play and throw Balls- we actually tired our pup out! There is a nice picnic table and sun and shade available - highly recommended and worth the drive For us.
55My dogs love it here!!
55While many other area Sniffspots are struggling to stay well-maintained this spring, Tara’s is in absolutely great condition!
55Five stars doesn’t do this sniff spot justice. We had been to one other sniff spot but absolutely nothing will ever compare to this one, and we already can’t wait to go back. We moved to the metro area, losing a fenced in back yard where my dogs had a safe place to run and roam. Having two reactive dogs makes for pretty stressful and short walks in the cities areas. My dogs and I were so relaxed and happy at Tara’s sniff spot. I don’t know the last time I saw them so happy and relaxed running, roaming, sniffing, rolling, doing all the dog things. Tara also goes above and beyond providing an adorable basket with toys, chairs and table, doggie pool, water bowls and a picnic table, plus bug spray and sun screen. The grass was cut low which made it so much fun to run around in & the pasture area was so clean!! Tara provided extra directions to make arrival easy & was so friendly even when we accidentally lost a ball 🙈 We had originally booked for a week prior but had gotten so much rain, Tara went out of her way the night before to inform me the pasture was a little extra wet and what to bring if we still wanted to come (like boots, etc) and also had provided us enough time to reschedule if we wanted to as well. I seriously can’t say enough great things about this place, and we can’t wait to come back. We’re not sure if the humans or dogs had more fun!
55Great space! Fully fenced in and plenty of room to run and play!
55This is our 2nd time visiting this spot, but this time we had a reunion for our former foster dog and her litter! Mama and her 7 pups had an amazing day celebrating their 1st birthday. This location was so perfect for this sort of event - tons of open space so you can easily keep an eye on everyone. The dogs and humans all loved it and the owners were so helpful and accommodating to make sure we were able to host this special day! ❤️
55This is a great spot for dogs running free, playing fetch and wrestling. They thoughtfully have a basket of toys and water available. And there is both indoor and outdoor seating. I brought my laptop and got some work done while my dog explored, intending to sit at the picnic table but sprinkles changed that plan. Luckily there was a little bistro set in the covered area I could work from. If you are looking for a spot with minimal to no distractions, it is right along the road with some trees as a buffer. But it’s a dirt road and probably not frequently traveled depending on when you are there.
55Beautiful location! If you are looking for an amazing spot to work on recalls or a fun game of fetch, this location is ideal! It's open and beautiful and very well maintained and well situated. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
55Perfect amount of space for any level of activity dog! Easy access and water pump as well for the dogs. They enjoyed their time and are completely tired out.

Description

Come enjoy our private, fully fenced 1+ acre pasture, conveniently located 30 minutes west of downtown Minneapolis. Surrounded by nature and nestled between prairie, woods, and wetland, our fenced-in pasture offers a quiet, safe and secure space for pups of all sizes to roam and play freely. This location is tucked away off a quiet rural street, so the only sounds you'll hear are birds chirping and the occasional car or tractor driving by. Plus, with its own private driveway and entrance (and our nearest neighbors being several acres away!), our pasture is a great location especially for sensitive or reactive dogs. During your visit, you'll have access to our barn with a table and chairs, water for your pup when temps are above freezing (including a kiddie pool in summer months), and plenty of dog toys, like a ChuckIt and balls. So, whether your pup prefers an endless game of fetch or just wants a new space to explore, we'd love to welcome you and your four-legged friends to our pasture! NOTE: Our water comes from a private well so if your pup has a sensitive tummy, you may want to bring your own water. (In winter months, the outdoor spigot will be turned off. Please remember to bring your own water!) Calendar can be booked up to 14 days in advance. If you’re looking for a specific day/time more than 14 days out, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

• Ticks: Because this is a grassy field surrounded by woods, we highly recommend being up-to-date on tick meds, especially in the summer months. We try to keep the grass low (2-3”) within the pasture to keep ticks to a minimum.
