55My dog had a wonderful time! There were plenty of smells for him to investigate and shade from the hot sun. The hosts were courteous, even when we parked in the wrong spot!
55Very nice and friendly
55Awesome spot. Host came out to greet me and was very friendly and easy to talk to. Beautiful property and my 3 legged companion was happy to be untethered. I will return. Host provided treats, water, waste bags and toys, everything you need.
55We loved our visit to this sniffspot! The area was clean, and had so many trees/smells to explore! The water and toys were a nice touch. :) Horsies across from us were an added bonus! We will be back! For first timers, the barn is back behind the house -- was slightly confusing at first to find where to park.
55My dog had a great time today playing ball in this space! All flat grounds with shade and leaves to play in. Fully fenced and secure. The host provided chairs, water, a bowl, and there was a receptacle with doggy bags and scoop. The host a good communication and clear directions. The price, I might add, was so minimal for such a good space. We do appreciate that! We'll be back!
55Hope to return!
55Our pup loved the smells and space this area provided. Several areas of leaf cover gave her plenty of nooks and crannies to investigate. She also loved the tug toy!
55Great place!
55Really easy and our dog loved it. Thanks Ken!
55Very nice area

Description

Silent H Acres is almost an acre fenced spot for your dog to go sniffing, running, fetching, and discovering. There are toys to play with (frisbees, tug rope, tennis balls, etc) and sticks to fetch. The grass ranges from 2” mowed, to 4” natural, up to about 12+ inches. A smattering of trees and two sitting areas for you - the gray Adirondack chairs are a bit too heavy to move, but feel free to move the red ones anywhere you would like. ***We will be adding a couple of agility exercise areas for your dog in the next few days. Toward the front of the field, I have mowed a curvy type of track in case you want to work on guided leash training. For you, we will keep a track around the perimeter of the fence mowed so you can use it for a walking track. PLEASE NOTE, the electric fence is DISCONNECTED. PARKING - you can pull next to the left side of the barn, or anywhere along the driveway. Thank you for choosing Silent H Acres SniffSpot. If you would, please leave us a review on the SniffSpot App and tell your friends about us.

Welcome! My wife, Linda, and I have enjoyed our dogs throughout our marriage. Our Labrador Retrievers have always had room to run, play, fetch, and investigate all things outdoors. We are happy to provide this opportunity for you and your dog through SniffSpot.

If you need a better idea of where it is, it's within walking distance of the East Asheville Farmer's Market, Library, Fire Department, and Wells Fargo. I'm also close to Bull Mountain Rd. A few Announcements: While I make every effort to ensure that my roommate and other guests have cleaned up after their dogs, I have occasionally been informed that they have not. So I must now update the description accordingly. I welcome you to partake of my beautiful backyard in a peaceful neighborhood- as long as you are aware it is possible there is occasional dog poo. Also be advised that if you are extremely sensitive to poison ivy, be aware there may be some in some parts of the yard. If your dog is a curious sort, be aware that there is some yard equipment being stored under the deck and this area is open and not blocked off. I cannot anticipate every guest's need, but I am happy to offer my yard for a small fee to those who understand what is being offered. Thank you! Recommendations: 1) Please clean up after your dog. 2) If you book an evening time, be prepared with a flashlight, or know when the sun sets. I have outside lights, but I can't guarantee they will always be on, and they don't illuminate the whole yard. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. (The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) ) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.
