Description

I have 4.2 acres and my dogs have their own kennel off to the left side of the yard, completely fenced from the area that other dogs may run. I may also lock their doggie doors, keeping them from coming out to watch the other dogs run, in hopes of keeping the barking down. We do have a small area behind our barn and a larger area towards the middle that may be somewhat flooded, depending on how much rain and snow we get. It’s only there in the winter time and is usually dried up by late April or early May. Our dogs run it daily and never have any problems. The entire 4 acres is fenced all the way around.

Hazards

When viewing our yard, there are multiple areas towards the front of the house that aren’t officially in the backyard and one of those areas is by our propane tank. We’ve never had a problem, but we really don’t want dogs around that area for fear they may bite into something, causing damage to our propane lines.

Please keep eyes on your pet and do not allow them to use the part of the yard that leads to my dog’s kennel door. My own personal dogs will be locked in their kennel, not able to see what’s going on, but they will smell and I don’t want them getting anxious knowing another dog is in their yard. Very few parts of the fence that surrounds our yard are much older than others and needs new 4x4 posts to secure the fence to stand completely upright so just be aware when your pet is in the area, on the side of the barn that you really can’t see. There’s no openings, and our dogs have never jumped up on them or over them but it’s just a cautious warning to know that some of them are weaker than others, until we can get them fixed this summer. Thank you

Hello, my wife and I breed Labradors, but none of that will get in the way of allowing your dog to explore our yard, having the best time. Our dogs have their own personal yard, completely fenced in, and there’s options to keep them in their own kennels without even seeing the other dogs that come to play. God has blessed us with over 4 acres and it’s always been a dream to have a bit of land. I hope that if you book with us, you enjoy the stay and know that your fur baby is safe wherever they run within our property.

The Nature Nook Dog Retreat - Shelby Township

Almost a half an acre completely fenced-in yard (to the ground so even 5-lb dogs can’t escape) in a quiet neighborhood near 23 and Mound. Grass is kept short and natural. Never any poisonous pesticides or fertilizer used. All Natural! Seating and doggie pool available (request pool is emptied before leaving and not filled more than half or you can’t tip over to empty). No dogs in surrounding yards. Great for big and small dogs! Lots of trees and shrubbery to give you a private oasis. Please close the gate when leaving. Note: I bought my house with a large after one of my dogs was attacked at a dog park causing 2 surgeries and very expensive vet bills. Enjoy my yard with piece of mind.
