55This was such a wonderful spot! The dogs loved it and there was a ton of space to spread out.
55My pups had a great time! They were WORN OUT on the way home which is hard to accomplish with these two 😁
55This place was great! This was our second time here and the dogs loved it. Secure fencing, toys, shade, water access.
55My sweet girl had a blast! She was toast when we got home. The grass was a little high, but as soon as I pulled out the lawn mower pulled in. Hehe. Really enjoyed our time there. Will definitely go again and book more time.
55Thank you! Always a great spot!
55We had a great time playing fetch in the spacious field! And when the pups got hot we walked down to the creek to cool off. We never saw or heard anyone else, it truly was our private dog park for an hour and a half!
55We had a great time at this spot! It’s quite secluded from people and other dogs, with so much room for the pups to play! Our pups especially enjoyed the creek! We will absolutely be back again!
55We had a blast at this spot! So much room to run and sniff for the pups and the kids loved the hammock and swing on the gazebo! Cane Creek was great for the water dogs. Directions lead right to the place and the Sniffspot signs are helpful to find the exact spot. We will be back our next time visit Asheville with our dogs.
55This place is absolutely the best.
55Always a great spot

Description

Have you ever wanted to run your dog on three football sized flat fields? This is your chance. Located behind UPM Raflatac in the cane creek industrial park this huge spot is the third one we have built. It’s been designed for complete privacy for you and your pets. No drive by traffic no people walking by, just you and your kids on 4 flat acres. It’s perfect for all ages of dogs and their humans because of the terrain! If you are up for an adventure, we have cut in a small trail to access Cane Creek. It is part of the same property but is NOT fenced in any way. If your pup enjoy off or on leash hikes, then feel free. The trail is outside the fenceing look for the silver gate across from the Gazbo. It is an out and back path with two small hills about a 3-5min walk in the woods. This area is not fenced. A picnic table, gazebo with swing, hammock and umbrella, are located here for lots of seating and shelter. Some toys are provided and even a game of horse shoes for humans! I think a Remote Control car or a drone, a mountain bike might be really fun to bring or even a Remote Control plane. This spot is actually part of the old Fletcher airport. All I want in life is to help people to have balanced dogs in their lives! Enjoy!

Cleanliness

97% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Ground will be wet after a heavy rain. Shade is provided by a shelter otherwise it’s in full Sun. Please bring water for yourself and your pets or take a small hike to Cane creek and enjoy the "beach". This trail is not fenced.

If you need a better idea of where it is, it's within walking distance of the East Asheville Farmer's Market, Library, Fire Department, and Wells Fargo. I'm also close to Bull Mountain Rd. A few Announcements: While I make every effort to ensure that my roommate and other guests have cleaned up after their dogs, I have occasionally been informed that they have not. So I must now update the description accordingly. I welcome you to partake of my beautiful backyard in a peaceful neighborhood- as long as you are aware it is possible there is occasional dog poo. Also be advised that if you are extremely sensitive to poison ivy, be aware there may be some in some parts of the yard. If your dog is a curious sort, be aware that there is some yard equipment being stored under the deck and this area is open and not blocked off. I cannot anticipate every guest's need, but I am happy to offer my yard for a small fee to those who understand what is being offered. Thank you! Recommendations: 1) Please clean up after your dog. 2) If you book an evening time, be prepared with a flashlight, or know when the sun sets. I have outside lights, but I can't guarantee they will always be on, and they don't illuminate the whole yard. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. (The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) ) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.
