55This is an excellent spot for fetch, romping about, practicing recall, you name it! My dog hasn’t been super interested in the tub toy in the tree (I think because she is too short) but I think it’s amazing and my parents’ Golden loved it. I love that the parking is right by the gate. If you do have a shorter/smaller dog, they may be able to get out the gate. My dog is borderline so I always try to move the garbage can and agility tunnel in front so she doesn’t get any ideas. Sometimes there are people or cars driving by at the far end, and even though my pup can be traffic reactive it’s far enough away that we haven’t had problems. Next door there are sometimes chickens and a small dog visible depending on the time of day. Sometimes my dog notices (she’s very interested but doesn’t react to the chickens, unless they get out - the other dog she sometimes gets wound up over) but I just keep a long line handy and leverage the training opportunity or take her behind the tree for a while so everything is out of sight and she can calm down. This spot is huge though, and there are lots of fun toys to play with, hand and toy sanitizer and a trash can which is amazing. Super easy to get to for us as well and very peaceful. I have a 13 month old pup who was made to be on acres of land - unfortunately we are currently living in the middle of Seattle (which he is less than thrilled about). He has not adjusted to the city well & I finally realized maybe we need head back out to some open space. The minute we stepped out of the car, my dog was at home. It was the first time I’ve seen him genuinely relaxed in 3 months. We spent the hour sniffing around the space, throwing ball, and enjoying the freedom of not being on leash. There was chickens in view, but they didn’t bother him. We could hear roosters & a neighbor kid yelling - all of which got my dogs attention - but nothing that set off his reactivity. Fletcher Farm is accessible, clean, and the hosts responded to my message quickly (even at my 6:50am arrival).
My dog is fulfilled after our first visit, therefore I am just as fulfilled. I plan on returning to Fletcher Farm as much as we can. The experience exceeded all of my expectations!Kali B.
