55This is a really nice backyard to let your dog run around in! It was nice and clean with a good fence, and there was a hose available for when our dog got thirsty. It was our first time using Sniffspot, and it was a good first experience.Caitlin M.

55Make sure you bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are bad right now! There were also people nearby setting off some fireworks so we left early, but that's definitely not Caleb's fault. It was around 7 pm and it wasn't dark yet, but since it is still close to the 4th, be aware that that might be a thing if you go in the evening.
Also, the gate is a little wonky right now. People have been opening it up backwards so the latch is all messed up and difficult to truly secure. It was fine for my dog, but if you have a dog that tries to get out through gates, it might not be secure enough.
Anyway, my dog and I love this spot!Caitlin M.

55Great spot in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for my dog to play fetch. My dog was very appreciative of the water the host left out in the backyard! We’ll definitely be back!Laresha B.

55The place was great!! Plenty of space for my dog to run and enjoy life with a sturdy gate around him- so I didn’t have to worry about him making a break for it. Toys and a water bowl were out for us to use. Plenty of shade and chairs for me to sit in. We will definitely be back!Christine L.

55We loved this spot! Lots of space to run and play. The host left out poop bags, toys, and fresh water, which was sweet. We will definitely be back! (Also, there were just a few mushrooms in one spot but they were not poisonous!) Caeleigh M.

FAQ about our Scottsville dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 98% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Scottsville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 71 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 13 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
