55got to meet Linda, and she was SO kind. the trail was great!! well kept with signs and tons of places for my pups to drink water. So happy to have found this place, and can’t wait to return!
55rain or shine we always have such a good time here!
55ALWAYS an amazing experience with the best hostess! The real adventure is discovering the best way to get to the creek with 10 dogs in tow :)
55Amazing place, my three pups and I had a great time here meandering, sniffing, listening to birds, running, trotting and playing. It’s like a private wilderness reserve. Will definitely be back!
55What a fun spot! Lots of paths to walk around and pretty sure this was the first time Ferdie was able to run in a creek! If it is your first time, leave a little extra time to find the spot. It sounds like Linda will be continuing to improve the spot and I can't wait to see what she does! I would suggest wearing some shoes with good tread! Ferdie loved it and so did we!
55Linda is very personable and kind. The property is beautiful. We had a wonderful time and will be back!
55Beautiful! Dogs are exhausted. Thank you!
55Our dogs loved this spot - plenty to smell and well maintained trails to sprint down. The trail does get very muddy leading up to the creek so definitely wear boots and bring some towels. We really appreciated all the different hose spots to wash them off afterwards. As for fencing - the entrance isn’t fenced and then the creek, but other than that we felt it was well enclosed and I’m sure it’ll be an even better spot once their fencing is complete. We have a gal who likes to wonder but she stayed closed with plenty of treats so we had no issues. We’ll be back!
55I now have happy, tired, dirty dogs. The spot was great, but I didn’t fully appreciate the suggestions about the dirt / mud. My dogs don’t have great recall so they were on long leads. So when they crossed the creek, got tangled, climbed a hill I had to go with them. So I likely ended up more dirty than most would. It was 100% worth it, but I didn’t anticipate getting that muddy/wet. That being said, the dogs loved the hiking adventure and playing in the creek.
55We had such a great time! My girl loved zooming through all the trails!

Description

Weekdays of June 2 - Jun 7 Wonderlane Sniffspot may be closed on and off for planned improvements! Sorry to miss you but we think you will enjoy the upgrades and agree it was worth it! It is just wonderful being in the woods, just beautiful! We've been walking around checking it out - green, leafy, mysterious, cool, lots of birds singing. Even when it rains there are rain shadows due to the huge trees. We can never get enough. We are working on other improvements, added a number of helpful signs. Planted 2 pink dogwood trees received from a friend as a present, and trees an Asian pear and Cherry. Several blue flowering lithodora planted on the retaining wall. Planted grass & 5 new variegated plants in the front rockery parking area. More hoses with spray nozzles are being added to the water hydrants. Figs trees sprouted huge leaves and little figs. The miniature Italian plums are marble-sized! Bring your friends and their dogs too! Embark on an enchanting forest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of the Pacific Northwest’s natural rainforest. Wonderlane beckons you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek. Choose your path—be it the left or right entrance—and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Waggin' Tail Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase. At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our partially fenced sanctuary. Our land, a tapestry of fences, natural barriers, trails, and creeks, is a safe haven for play. Once trodden by horses, these trails have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life with over 600 saplings, The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, and Western Red Cedar, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, giant BigLeaf Maple, Alders, and Vine Maples' frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living painting of nature. Though some wildlife is a rare sight, the forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk or run on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent over four years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit and revel in the company of your dogs. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away. Join our community on Facebook, by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser there, and watch tales of joy. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 Wonderlane is more than a walk in the woods—it’s where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! Remember, if your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. So come, let the forest’s magic envelop you and your best friends at Wonderlane, where every trail is a story waiting to unfold. A guest mentioned bringing bug repellent so beginning May 26th for the summer, we recommend bringing repellent or wearing it when you drop into the forest, and on to the creek area. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. The best is yet to come!

It is also possible to go to the creek on a completely different trail, on the left side of the property, down an embankment where the shallow creek is very nice with a gravel base. I've lived in great places from Coldfoot Alaska to Kathmandu Nepal. My place now is my favorite location I've ever lived in so I thought I'd share it with you! I'm Linda, and I love creatures, especially doggies! My first word was “whuppie” because I couldn’t pronounce “puppy”!Born in Seattle, raised 4th generation Alaskan, from a long-time West Coast family.
