55The pups and us had a really good time exploring and running around at this place it’s definitely worth it and will be returning again
55This was our first visit to High Rock Meadow and it was wonderful! The instructions on how to get there were clear and thorough; signage was great as to where to park and how to enter the gated area. Inside was truly a dog paradise - couple of acres of fenced in area to run and play. Lots of places around the property to sit and trails to walk on. It is clear that the host has put a lot of work and love into creating this terrific playground. Kai had a great time exploring! We look forward to our next visit.
55Great sniff spot! Fresh wood chipped paths all around. Cute little Knick knacks in the trees. Combination of trails and fields. The fields had some holes in them but we avoided them by running horizontal on the hill instead of up and down. There were lots of obstacles and trees to run on and around. Really loved the amenities especially toys, poop bags and cleaning wipes. My pup had an awesome time. We did several laps on the trail was easily able to use 1.5 hrs.
55The best SniffSpot with the best host! Super appreciative of the schedule updates and discount codes on social media, on top of the general upkeep and beauty of High Rock Meadow. And thank you Phyllis for helping me unload my excited pups from the car and get them into the spot - you rock!
55Thank you so much for this little oasis away from the city! The wood chip paths were so cute and the trees beautiful. All the supplies were great, water, toys, towels to wipe off paws, etc. We will be back!
55We always love visiting High Rock Meadow! My foster pup and our friends loved walking the trails, playing fetch, and posing for cute photos!
55Wonderful spot! Pups had a blast running around this very secure area. Def felt comfortable having them off-leash. It’s large enough to explore different areas while still being safely contained. 10/10!
55Amazing spot worth the 50 minute drive! Will be back !
55This place is heaven for our pupp. Jewels had a blast exploring all the hidden things. The place is made with sooo much love! Thanks- we will be back for sure!
55Timber and I loved our time here. There was a lot of room for us to explore and for him to sniff. I loved that there were clean water bowls for us to use. The entire property was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

Description

High Rock meadow is a 2+ acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. Finally, I use a Facebook page to post pictures, videos, updates, last minute openings & discount codes, etc. related to our spot. Please like or follow our page if you are interested. Search for "High Rock Meadow Sniffspot" in Facebook. We also have Instagram (@HighRockMeadow) but I'm still learning and I'm not very good at it! We also love to get tagged on social media, so...

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

The natural meadow area of the property has very uneven footing (cracks and holes from mountain beavers) with vegetation cover, so extreme caution should be used when walking in the meadow (dogs do fine with their four feet!) There are a few areas with blackberry brambles and small runners that cross in the meadow and can cause tripping (we are continually working to locate and remove these as well as the large berry vines). There are some stinging nettles starting to emerge, and we will be working hard to remove as they can cause swelling if dogs touch them (they are mostly located in the areas of the larger berry patches, and along the back part of the fence. Established trails through the perimeter forest have decent footing but can also have some uneven ground, some steep areas, exposed roots etc. Take extra care when walking in the forest areas that have not been established as walking trails. If there are strong gusty winds, please stay in the meadow and out of the forest as limbs and trees can fall.

Extras

Birthday "Paw-ty" Package$15

Includes set-up with decorations, special treats, dog bubbles, goodie bags for each doggy guest (liver treats & High Rock Meadow coupon), and a bandana & party hat for the guest of honor. When booking, ensure there is an open hour prior to your start time (I will need to block this for set-up) and include a note indicating the number of guests (doggy & human), the birthday boy/girl's name & age. I would also love to have a picture of the guest of honor (attach this in the chat function).

Additional rules

While we expect guests to make every effort to locate and pick up their dog's poop, we understand that "poop happens", especially in an area with the size and natural terrain/ground cover of High Rock Meadow. Please walk your dog(s) on leash for a few minutes before letting them run, to see if they will produce for an easy pick up. We greatly appreciate guests who graciously choose to pick up poop they discover (using provided bags), regardless of the dog that may have produced it, knowing that another gracious guest will get the one they missed! *We keep extra rolls of poop bags inside the dispenser on the inside of the gate post. If you use the last bag on a roll, please open the door on the dispenser and start a new roll. Thanks! * Please use garbage can inside the gate for dog waste and used wipes only (we have visiting bears). * The Sniffspot supply box has clean water bowls, towels, wipes, first aid kits (human & dog), mosquito repellent, hand sanitizer, and a few toys. Jugs of fresh water are just outside the box. * Please empty any used water bowls and leave them upside down in the crate to the left of the supply box, along with used toys. We plan to provide enough clean bowls daily for each guest to have a fresh one for their dog(s). * Small towels (in the "Clean Laundry" bag) are available for drying seats (and dogs). Please deposit any used towels into the "Dirty Laundry" bag inside the supply box. * We also greatly appreciate guests who return any supplies such as wipes, bug spray, etc. to the Sniffspot supply box at the end of your visit. * Please let us know if you used any first aid items from the kit so we can replace, and be sure to let us know if you encountered any unexpected hazards, along with a good description so we can work to fix. * Please no smoking on the property. * Please make every effort to be on time so you will not meet other guests on the driveway (do not arrive early or leave late). Thank You!

Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. On-leash trail walk through our wooded trails behind the dog park for a small additional fee. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails.
