55Beautiful! Dogs are exhausted. Thank you!
55Our dogs loved this spot - plenty to smell and well maintained trails to sprint down. The trail does get very muddy leading up to the creek so definitely wear boots and bring some towels. We really appreciated all the different hose spots to wash them off afterwards. As for fencing - the entrance isn’t fenced and then the creek, but other than that we felt it was well enclosed and I’m sure it’ll be an even better spot once their fencing is complete. We have a gal who likes to wonder but she stayed closed with plenty of treats so we had no issues. We’ll be back!
55I now have happy, tired, dirty dogs. The spot was great, but I didn’t fully appreciate the suggestions about the dirt / mud. My dogs don’t have great recall so they were on long leads. So when they crossed the creek, got tangled, climbed a hill I had to go with them. So I likely ended up more dirty than most would. It was 100% worth it, but I didn’t anticipate getting that muddy/wet. That being said, the dogs loved the hiking adventure and playing in the creek.
55We had such a great time! My girl loved zooming through all the trails!
55I don’t normally book places that are less than five acres but this one was so close to home that I thought I’d give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The host has made the utmost use of the property and due to the switchback trails throughout the hilly terrain the property felt larger than 2 acres. My reactive dog had a blast exploring the trails and taking a several dips in the creek. We were able to walk the trails about three times during our one hour visit but I didn’t feel like we were walking in circles due to the switchback trails and my dog seemed to find something new to sniff each time. We also didn’t see or hear any other people or animals. It is truly a peaceful woodland area. The host’s description is very accurate too - the property is contained with fences in most areas and where there isn’t fencing, and/or there are gaps in the fence, the natural terrain, which includes dense underbrush and steep hills, provides good containment. I felt very safe with letting my reactive dog go leash free. I usually have to drive at least 30 minutes to a Sniffspot large enough to keep my dog interested but now I have one within 10 minutes. I’m thrilled to have found Wonderlane and highly recommend it to others!
55Wonderful place to bring your dog. I ran out of steam before Ollie did, so nice that there are chairs along the way for us oldsters to use.
55Super cute spot! Will definitely be back!
55Our visit was just before sunset and the trails were beautiful. There’s tables and chairs spaced throughout if you want to rest while your dogs run around. Bring boots if you walk down to the bottom as it’s muddy. We were running late and they allowed us to shift our time last minute so we really appreciated it.
55Lovely space. Feels like your own private trail. Would go back again!
55Dogs loved it! They had a blast in the water.

Description

Embark on an Enchanting Forest Adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Unleash the spirit of adventure and let your beloved dogs frolic in the lush embrace of the Pacific Northwest’s natural rainforest. Wonderlane beckons you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of verdant trails, towering old-growth trees, and the gentle murmur of a clear creek. Choose your path—be it the left or right entrance—and meander down Flying Horse Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase. At the heart of our forest, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven within our partially fenced sanctuary. Our land, a tapestry of fences, natural barriers, cliffs, and creeks, is a safe haven for play. Once trodden by horses, these trails have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now safe for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life with over 600 trees, creating a canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, and BigLeaf Maple that whispers stories of the past. Wonderlane isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, you’ll marvel at the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living painting of nature’s grandeur. Though some wildlife is a rare sight, the forest is alive with the songs of thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, Majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk or run on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves to you. We’ve spent over four years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you to run, walk, and revel in the company of your dogs. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes away. Join our community on Facebook, by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser there, and read tales of joy. Wonderlane is more than a walk in the woods—it’s where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time. Remember, if your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. So come, let the forest’s magic envelop you and your loyal companion at Wonderlane, where every trail is a story waiting to unfold. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space.

Hazards

Wonderlane Sniffspot has access to a shallow creek, for safety, we request that children and dogs be accompanied when near or in the creek. Sniffspot requests that guests review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water 'Elephant Walk' of wood rounds over wet soil leading to the Creek helps keep dogs' feet dry. It is also possible to go to the creek on a completely different trail, on the left side of the property, down an embankment where the shallow creek is very nice with a gravel base. Boots are recommended, as are towels for doggies feeties. (We plan to add gates to these areas.) In the summer heat, if bugs come just keep walking away or bring some bug repellant, don't wave at them. Please police poo. If you see anything please text us and we'll collect it. It's a big area and sometimes things slip by the most ardent collector! :-) The garbage bin is located at the entrance. PS - If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries!

Host replied: Hi Caelyn, The front entrance has a 12 ft long gate on wheels that we are replacing with another 12 ft long gate, the new one is steel. While there are no plans to fence the creek, the main part is planned to be completely, fenced by the middle of next month, which means we have to close down for a few days. Therefore visit and bring these sports as much as you can! Thank you for the great photo of your happy dogs! Cheers! -Linda

Host replied: Carolynn, By June this spot will be fully fenced with gates to the creek from both locations so you can control access to the seep area. That area will start drying up as well with the summer. Looks like the creek is about an inch & 1/2 deep right now from your photos. Sounds like they invited you to their form of fun :-) Great photos of your doggies thank you so much! Cheers! -Linda
