55Great spot with lots of room to run!
55The pups had a blast! A good sized yard and fun things to sniff in the woodland areas. And some shade!
45My first time using sniffspot. The place was very spacious, i loved seeing my dogs run around!! The neighbor had a little pug and my reactive dog was barking a little too much but other than that they had a great time
55This was exactly as described completely fenced in with plenty of running space for both of my dogs to play. There were also lots of toys available, my boys were exhausted after the hour.
55Great clean sniff spot. Easy to go in and out. My pups loved the squeaky and non squeaky balls in the yard.
35This place is very big and spacious for the dogs. Great location as well. The reason for 3 stars is because on the post it advertised that there is Drinking water for dogs and we did not bring any water because it said it’s included. My 5 month old puppy couldn’t continue to play after 20 minutes due to becoming dehydrated. Since there is no water provided we were forced to leave 30 mins earlier than our scheduled end time. We booked for a full hour. We were very excited for our two puppies to get lots of play today and a little disappointed with our first experience at this place.
55Always a great yard to play in.
55Place was great!! I have 2 tired pups , thank you
55This was an awesome area for my dog Millie to zoom around! She was tired for days after and loved sniffing around the patches of woods on the property. My dog is an athlete and an expert level escape artist. She did almost get into the neighbors yard by climbing your wood pile, but overall it felt very safe!
55Lovely spot.

Description

Welcome to our yard: our dog’s favorite place! Fully fenced in from house to property line property line; also “double-fenced” where the woods begin to keep dogs on the grass. Park along the street and walk up the driveway to the white fence, reach over to unlatch the gate and step in onto the patio. Your dog may play anywhere in the yard or on the patio. Please do not go behind the chicken wire fencing or sheds. You are welcome to use any of our tennis balls, “chuck-its” and dog toys while using the yard; we leave them on the patio table. Feel free to take a seat under the umbrella for some shade. If the little doggie “kiddie” pool is set up, you may use it, but absolutely NO people OR dogs allowed in the above-ground pool. We also ask that you please stay off the deck. You may dispose of any poop bags in the tin milk can under the deck. Please close the gate behind you when you leave. We hope you and your dog have tons of fun in our yard!

Host replied: So glad you enjoyed our space! Sorry to hear that our neighbor-pup’s fence greeting wasn’t appreciated by your dog (haha) He isn’t outside much, but he is a friendly little guy :) No worries at all about your dog’s barking! You’re welcome back any time.

Host replied: Thank you for visiting and for your feedback. As I explained when you messaged me asking about water, that the reason our hose was turned off was because of the freezing temperatures, as it had just snowed the day before your visit. Due to potential frozen pipe damage, it seems this explanation would be reasonable and understandable to the average person. It also seems unlikely that a dog would become “dehydrated” due to playing for just “20 minutes” in 40° weather. Regardless, as I also said in my message, that I was sorry to hear you were disappointed with our lack of drinking water. I have since removed it from our amenity list as the hose will only be available when it is warm out.

The Hawthorne Hotel Dog Park In Methuen

A fully fenced yard for you and your animals to run and roam! The Hawthorne Hotel has almost an acre of land for your doggo to explore! We are fully fenced in so y’all can run without worry! Our yard features a large open grassy area to play ball or frisbee, a meadow/English garden type area, and some overgrowth on the sides of the yard that provide a fun terrain for your dogs to explore and sniff! The dogs are welcome to roam wherever they’d like! We have a hose and bowl outside for you to use for water and we have some toys and bags for you to use if needed. The yard is enclosed by a combination of a 6’ privacy fence, as well as a chain link fence that abuts the neighbors backyard, and a white picket fence reinforced with wire. We mow regularly, and often have flowers and trees in bloom! There is a picnic table and lawn chairs for the humans to enjoy, and the pups too, if they’d like! There is always ample, safe, street parking directly next to the entrance gate, which is on the side of the house. There is also parking directly in front of the Hawthorne Hotel. The best parking spot is right outside the gate! Please do be mindful of closing the gate behind you when you enter and exit as it requires a firm tug to latch. Because of the extensive precipitation recently, there can be some soft ground in the low area of the yard. It can be a little muddy after it rains. Feel free to use the hose to rinse your pup off if they play in the water. Contact us to get a viewing or if you have any questions!

Large Fenced in Yard with Some Woods to Explore

Update 6/12/23: While I love the tree by the mailbox, I recognize it makes backing out of my driveway very difficult. Feel free to back into the drive so that your line of sight isn't blocked when trying to leave. Update 4/11/23: There are times that I block off my yard for the whole day to ensure that I don't have back-to-back visits and that there is time for the dogs I am dog sitting to run around. I don't need all this time so feel free to message me if you would like to visit on that particular day and I can unblock a slot for you to book. General Information I have a large fenced in yard. It is chain link and 6ft tall. It is reinforced at the bottom. There is a woodsy area in the yard for dogs to explore as well. Lots of room to run! You may notice your dog spends most of his/her time sniffing around instead of running. This is typical for the first visit: 1. It is a new space for them and they get a lot of information through their nose 2. Lots of dogs have been in my yard so there is so much to smell. This is still great enrichment and will lead to a tired and fulfilled dog. Please bring your own dog toys, water, and water bowl. If your dog poops (even if in the woods), can you please pick it up? I have a dog that likes to eat poop - so gross! You may notice that sometimes my deck is gated off. I do this so that the visiting dogs aren't distracted by the sliding door, standing in front of it thinking they are there to come into the house instead of playing in the yard. You are more than welcome to take one of them down if you want to sit up on the deck. If I forget to put the gate up and you want to block your dog from coming up on the deck, feel free to put it on the stairs to block the entryway. Other things worth mentioning: - My neighbor to the right of me has ducks. They are typically quiet but visible. - Depending on the weather and time of the year, parts of the yard may be icy and/or muddy! Bring towels to wipe down your dog afterwards. If you visit early spring, you may see ground bees flying around on the south facing side of the house. By late April, you won't even know they are there. They are very docile (in fact most species don't have stingers) and are great pollinators. - I also dog sit out of my home. Some dogs that I watch are vocal and may bark the whole time you are visiting. If your booking time is during a time that I am home, I can ensure that they are kept quiet and don’t interfere with your visit. If hearing barking coming from my house is something that will impact your visit, feel free to reach out to me beforehand to confirm whether or not I am dog sitting and/or will be home. If there is anything I can do to make this a more enjoyable experience, please message me with feedback :) Hope you have a great time!
