The sniffspot itself was great! However, if you have a reactive dog this is not a good sniffspot for you. We were told that there would barely be anyone around, especially during this time of year, which was a complete lie unfortunately. We encountered multiple dogs, including one that ran directly at our car and jumped in. There were 5 or 6 cars that drove by, and the campsite is a bit of a walk from the beach which adds extra difficulty if you have a reactive dog. I feel bad giving this two stars because the spot was really nice, but I feel very mislead, and this trip could’ve ended very badly if that stray dog had jumped into the car with my dogs and my mom inside, instead of the separate car I was driving. I just want to emphasize; DO NOT BRING YOUR REACTIVE DOG. The owner should be more upfront about the amount of traffic and people in the area.
Host replied: Thanks for visiting. The area was advertised as being located on a public road where occasional cars, people and other dogs may be seen. The beach is 1/2 mile down road from campsite as advertised and is visible from road as advertised. I have never encountered a stray dog and I have owned the property for 20 years. This road is a quiet country road most of the year and light traffic at best is seen during midweek. It will certainly become much busier as summer approaches. I welcome you to come back and enjoy all the campsite and beach has to offer.
