55We had a great time at this spot. Directions were clear, amenities were a great edition (water, balls, bags, trash can, bug spray). The trails are clearly marked and very easy to walk in. We did the loop about 3 times then picnic on the grassy area and then 2 more loops. We didn't close the gate at the entrance - our dog has great recall, but I would recommend closing in case you play fetch and the ball rolls down. Lilla K.

55Wahoo! This was our first ever Sniff Spot visit - Cooper and Samm gave it 5 stars. We are apartment dwellers so have a place to run and sniff off leash was lovely. There are little trails to run up, down and around - easy footing me. There is a small creek nestled inside. Fencing is marked. The pups - who am I kidding - Cooper the 14 year old was delighted to have a special Thanksgiving treat from our host Brenda! Huge thank you from the 14 year old - who also ran around. Samm - the 5 year old was too busy chasing (?) who knows what - she just likes to run! There was plenty of room to play fetch and fresh water was available. I don't have reactive dogs but if you did - this would be a great spot for them too.Cheryl P.

55This was our first time at this sniffspot and we will definitely be back. We brought our 3 and 8 year old pups and they both had a great time and were tired by the end of our stay. There"s plenty of trail to roam and explore, a small stream and plenty of area to throw a ball although my pups just spent their time sniffing and walking the trails. Area is very well maintained and easy trail access. While we didnt meet our Sniffspot host, she was very kind thru email and easy, quick communication. Thanks for having us. We will be back again.

55Absolutely beautiful! Brenda is great and had everything well marked. If you want to escape the city this is the place! The trails through the forest were easy to follow and our pups had so many things to explore and smell. No people, no dogs, no noise just you your pups and the sounds and smells of nature. It was wonderful! Highly recommend.Denise R.

55We have visited the sister site, Black Pond Farm, so we were excited when the owners opened up this spot! It's much smaller but still a wonderful area. An hour was sufficient for a very leisurely stroll and some great sniffs. At one point my dogs even got the zoomies and did a few laps in the open area! The hosts are very thoughtful and have poop bags, bug spray, CLEAN water for the dogs, camp chairs, etc. There's a small cottage on-site they're refurbishing, and one of my dogs definitely ran up the front steps and waited at the door, thinking that was our destination. Haha!Kristina M.

55We had a great time hiking around this space and running in the field. The host gave excellent instructions to the property and where to park. The place is well signed and the trail system is easy to follow. The loop(s) is smaller than its sister property, but still we enjoyed ourselves! My dog was leashed initially until I was comfortable with the space and then she was let go to explore; she ran around while i picked blackberries!. An hour is perfect for this spot! It was warm and muggy, I was grateful for the water + bowl set out for the pup. After we finished hiking, she ran around the field and rolled in the grass. We did hear another dog barking in the distance, but never saw a human or canine. Lani liked this space so much she did not want to leave, I had to bribe her back into the car :)Amanda V.

55Panda and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to this spot on a rainy day. He loves nothing more than to be in a forest, run through the underbrush, and sniff everything (especially after the rain). Barbara L.

55Such a pretty space! We had so much fun today running around the trails and Cooper was so happy splashing around in the creek. Such peaceful woods and a really nice place to roam around without a care in the world. We've been here a few times before and every time is better than the last. ♥Susan D.

55Such a great day! Brenda was very nice, Sophie had a great time and it was well worth the trip out there. It took about 50 minutes from North Seattle.
Sophie can't interact with other dogs, so this was a perfect place to practice hiking with a lead and practice recall. I was reluctant to let her off the lead because it said it wasn't fully fenced but I think it would be fine next time now that we know the place. We'll definitely be back!!!🐾
(Included a blurry picture because she was running around having so much fun, I couldn't get a pic in focus!!) 😊Shawna M.

55This is a beautiful sniffspot with plenty of space and extras like a chair, water, fire pit, and more! For those of us who may be out of shape/chubby ( like myself), there are some pretty steep hills to climb when exploring the trails. They do level out though! I would definitely come back, but would wear better shoes. Lisa H.

FAQ about our Lacey dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
