55Beautiful, clean spot! Water, toys, and treats were set out for my girl. Bug spray was set out for me (thank you)! There are tons of things to sniff and explore. Highly recommend.
55Thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The option to wash the pup after was awesome as well as the doggy pool since it was hot. Will definitely be back!
55This is a very nice quiet yard. The host kindly left out fresh water and a sign welcoming us. I suggest bringing bug spray. I was not prepared and got bit quite a lot. Other than that, it was a great spot.
55A magical little oasis just off Merrimon Ave! Great space, lots of different areas of interest and well maintained. Lots of great little details (toys, fresh water, treats) and we paid to have the pool filled up, which is a nice option if you have dogs who like water (ours, apparently, didn't but that's OK!).
55Little safe haven for my reactive fur babies! In a cute little neighborhood. Owners were polite and understanding of my dog/people reactive woofers and kept out of sight the best they could. Will definitely book again!
55Great spot with water and dog toys to keep your friend entertained.
55Awesome yard for my 2 pups, big enough that there are lots of places to explore, we loved all the seating options and shade. My small dog is a burrower and became obsessed with getting under the house, and into the enclosed spaces, but she’s just generally like that all the time. Super cute place!
55It was a wonderful, mostly shaded oasis. The dogs really enjoyed themselves.
55Beautiful space :)
55We had a wonderful time! Totcho and Grizz had so much fun zooming around the fenced in yard after tennis balls and toys and there was a fresh bowl of water and plenty of shade for them to cool off afterwards.

Description

We bought a dog park that just happened to come with a house. We’re only a mile from downtown Asheville with easy street parking. Bring your pooch to run and play. If Shaggy is home, he’d love to come down and join you upon request. If you prefer privacy, he and his sister Phoebe will stay in the front of the house.

Cleanliness

96% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

No hazards but just to be aware of: There is a partially-enclosed space behind the house where some outdoor stuff is stored. My dogs love to run under the fence but it is easy to call them back out. There is NOTHING that can harm your dog there - no chemicals, no sharp objects, no food or other hazard. Our doggie door to get inside is by the entry gate (see photo) and has a cover but it sometimes falls off. To prevent your dog from going into the house, please put the cover on it if it is off.

Extras

Doggie pool$10

We can fill up our XXL doggie pool just for your pooch! You can see the pool at this link. Jasonwell Foldable Dog Pet Bath Pool Collapsible Dog Pet Pool Bathing Tub Kiddie Pool for Dogs Cats and Kids (63inch.D x 11.8inch.H, Blue) https://a.co/cKDSSOA

Towels and shampoo$5

Want to bathe your pooch before you go? We can leave supplies by the hose!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF BEARS! I have had a bear in the back yard a few times recently. They jump fences! If you need a better idea of where it is, it's within walking distance of the East Asheville Farmer's Market, Library, Fire Department, and Wells Fargo. I'm also close to Bull Mountain Rd. A few Announcements: While I make every effort to ensure that my roommate and other guests have cleaned up after their dogs, I have occasionally been informed that they have not. So I must now update the description accordingly. I welcome you to partake of my beautiful backyard in a peaceful neighborhood- as long as you are aware it is possible there is occasional dog poo. Also be advised that if you are extremely sensitive to poison ivy, be aware there may be some in some parts of the yard. If your dog is a curious sort, be aware that there is some yard equipment being stored under the deck and this area is open and not blocked off. I cannot anticipate every guest's need, but I am happy to offer my yard for a small fee to those who understand what is being offered. Thank you! Also, if you should happen to encounter my neighbor in the back left of the yard, please be advised he is unfortunately a little senile and has been known to be a nuissance to several of his neighbors. I don't want to scare you off, as we love our yard and will continue using our yard in the ways we see fit. If his (small) dogs come out while you are there, please be careful with your dogs, and please take anything he says with a grain of salt-, he unfortunately sometimes behaves like your classic grumpy old man. We apologize in advance for anything he says and are working on a solution. It may take some time for that to be implemented. Recommendations: 1) Please clean up after your dog. 2) If you book an evening time, be prepared with a flashlight, or know when the sun sets. I have outside lights, but I can't guarantee they will always be on, and they don't illuminate the whole yard. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. (The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) ) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.i
