Just about 10 acres of open rolling prairies, creek, and forest for you and your furry one(s) to roam. There is poor cell reception at this Sniffspot, so it is recommended that guests screenshot the picture of the boundaries (picture #2) to reference when you are here. Sturdy shoes and pants are recommended. This is a natural forage prairie area. There are blackberry bushes along the road and some fencing, but gaps do exist so exercise caution. That said, there is plenty of room far away from the road to play fetch, run around, explore etc. Stay to the right of the power lines when viewing from the parking area. Please try to stay out of the muddy swale area. The best place to cross this area is at the bottom (see picture #2) where the creek starts. Booking availability times are M-Sun 8AM-6PM.

Welcome! We offer a 1 acre, fenced spot for your dog(s) to run, play, dog, sniff and bark! >> Please note! Perimeter fence was replaced and spot now includes additional space! There are more trees and brush included for your dogs sniffing pleasure. Please use caution, there are some new trip hazards and holes. We have walked this multiple times but things may continue to work their way out of the newly exposed earth. We think dogs will enjoy even more but be aware, it’s a little more wild than before! << Beautiful views and farm animal neighbors add to the fun. Shade, seating and a covered area make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass, slight hills, a sand pile and dirt to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! Ground will likely be soggy but we will close if entrance becomes unsafe. >>Pool is empty for the season<< During warm weather there is a 9’ stock tank pool (not filtered) for dogs. One person may accompany a dog but please no children. Private parking for one or two vehicles available. If additional needed, please message host. Clean porta potty available for guest use. This is also used by others, please keep dogs leashed in this area. This park is dedicated to Dexter, the King of Bork. He was a loud, happy guy that lived to bark! He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.

Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Spring is SPRINGING and what a week back it's been!! We've been super excited to see folks returning and enjoying the SUN!! Taking in that SNIFFTASTIC pre- Spring air!! Looks like the FUN is just beiginning to heat up! With over .54 acre there will be room for all the Shenanigans a pup could get into. Bring your furry family member for a romp, roll and run in our 6ft tall fully fenced yard. Chase toys down into Nobil's Forest where you can watch birds, squirrels and a wide variety of insects and bees in our 100% organic yard. We've been organic for over 10 years and counting!! All our interior fencing has been assembled by the 14 year old freshman of the house. He really stepped up to help me get things in order. Gorgeous open meadow in the country. Come spend the day with your dogs and enjoy safe and private doggy freedom. 9 acres fenced meadows, 10 acres in deep woods with a large creek and 13 remaining acres in open, unfenced meadow. Pond in the unfenced meadow. Sorry! No water, chairs or poop bag trash cans on site. This is not a place that gets policed by anyone but you! Please helpl keep this site as pristine as you find it. Nothing too fancy, but it's a spot off the highway to let your pet run and play, potty, or even just stretch their legs during the long drive home from the beach or forests. It's our back yard of our private home. We do have chickens in a run by the driveway, so be mindful of that please. And we have 3 bully breed dogs on premises. Enjoy the flowers, throw a tennis ball or play with other random toys in the yard. Let them get a nice gulp of water from the bowl, and if stocked, help yourself to refreshments. There may even be some milk bones or other treats out for your furry friend. ☺️ Please enjoy responsibly and come back soon!!

Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. There are two driveways onto the property. You want the north one with the sign "Ericksen." After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Please do not enter the farmhouse yard. The residents of the farmhouse are not the sniffspot hosts. For any questions, issues, or suggestions about how I can improve this spot, please drop me a message or call me, Annika, at 253-346-5863. New: accepting donations for COMPOST, like leaves, lawn clippings, pumpkins, newspaper, fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds, annual plants including tomatoes, used potting soil, tree trimmings, etc. You'll see the compost receptacle as you come up the driveway.

Old logging trial is the center of the property with wild animal trails branching off the logging trail which are easy to walk and provides a huge amount of wildlife smells for your dogs.

We are Closed for the season so follow us on Facebook or TikTok for open dates ;) Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! 2.1 acres of fully-fenced heaven. As a dog owner/lover, this provides a necessary peace of mind. Pull inside the gate, and let ‘em lose! Poop happens typically w/in first 10 mins; bags can be disposed in trash. Hose water available by front door, back patio, and chicken coop area. All areas are fair game once you are inside the gate. Once a stop on the Gig Harbor Garden Tour, this property boasts a variety of terrain to keep your pup(s) busy for hours. We are at the end of a private lane, and the back of the property abuts to 50 acres of DNR. Sightings of cattle, wild peacocks, deer, raccoons and grouse are common. Make yourself (and family) at home around the fire pit, small orchard, tree house, trampoline, flagstone paths and trails. Good shoes highly recommended. NOTE: Sniffspot is promoting their “Sniffpass”, and they have the box automatically checked to “Opt in” when you make a booking. This is out of my control. I do not want my guests to feel Sniffpass is necessary to book my spot. Please uncheck that box if you are not interested to avoid unnecessary “surprise” charges upon checkout (unless you want to subscribe, which is totally ok too!).

A close to the city site with an out in the woods feel. We have a huge field for your pup to run in, a currently short trail (working on extending it), and plenty off untamed forest to explore. The wooded areas can have natural hazards so if they are explored Taran will not be liable for any loss or harm to people and animals.

We absolutely love ALL animals. We have a BBQ in the back incase it will be a longer visit with all hooligans and hooomans hahaha
