55We went today to the property and we had a lot of fun! We went with my brother and his family. We have two dogs and they have one dog and a foster dog who they aren’t able to take to public dog parks due to liabilities. One of ours is a five months old spunky puppy and is learning to be social, this was perfect for all of them! The kids ran, the dogs ran, they all played! We didn’t have any issues with the dogs going out of the area and they roamed around together. It’s nice to allow them off leash to play in the woods and explore. There was a gallon of water and a bowl, picnic tables, chairs, and a garbage. We brought water for the dogs just in case, they did need it when we weren’t near the provided water because they were playing so hard! Being a towel to wipe the dogs (and kids) off of you don’t want your car dirty! Also wear shoes you can get wet and don’t mind if you encounter some mud! An hour was perfect as the dogs were tired! They have all slept the rest of the day! We hope to make this a weekly play day! So happy to have found this place! Amber M.

Easy to walk wide, main path with intersecting smaller trails on the side. Not completely fenced, but borders are marked and there didn’t seem to be any large roads nearby, so with recall I felt like it was safe for my dogs to run ahead and explore. Very fun hour for both humans and dogs. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more frequently!

55This was our first Sniffspot experience and it was AMAZING. We have fours dogs, one who is particularly reactive, so we can’t do regular dog parks. This was probably bigger and way better maintained than a dog park, with no worries about anyone else in the space. Shaundra C.

My favorite Sniffspot on the peninsula. Both of my German Shepherds love to explore this wonderful wooded area. Enough open ground to play fetch and enough wooded area for your pups to explore. There are a number of short trails to walk while your pups range about. My only concern with this spot is that some trails come close to unfenced areas near homes and streets so being able to recall your distracted pups is recommended.

We were able to pull through the gate and park inside, off the street. We walked all the trails and it only took about 20 minutes, so if the human is looking for exercise, that’s limited. This is a spot that you need to visit several times to get the full appreciation of the work he’s done. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 71% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Forks area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 1 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
