55Very friendly and accommodating hosts. The property is really nice - plenty to sniff and explore, and room to run. Perhaps an escape artist, especially a small one, might escape but generally very secure. Seemed very clean and safe. On the more expensive side, but not too bad given the amount of space. Wish there was a membership option. We will definitely be back!Jonteray C.

55Our dogs had such a great time! One is scared of other dogs but likes to roam, so this was a perfect alternative to a dog park. Nice, clean, quiet, and beautiful! Haley W.

55Lots of room to walk around and lots of smells for the dogs. Wood piles around the property our dogs liked climbing on. Horses nearby are an interesting sight for the dogs but a large chunk of the property you can’t see them if you want to stay out of sight. Nice property!Cara M.

55We had so much fun at this property. There were plenty of things to sniff and we felt very safe with the fence. It was also a great opportunity to get our dog used to some horses. We will be back! Brianna B.

55Great spot! My dogs had a wonderful time exploring every bit of the 7 acres. We didn’t see the neighbor dogs near the entrance but as others have mentioned it’s an easy area to avoid. I’ve included a picture of the gate in case anyone is worried about an escape artist wriggling under. Also …. the person who suggested wearing boots was right! Lots of natural vegetation and seeds.
Overall a great spot. The host was very responsive and nice and my dogs had a blast. We’ll be back!Sarah K.

55Had a nice time this morning! Lots of room to explore. Big space with lots of tall grass, and great views! There was a deer just chilling in the field, too (I’m not sure my dog even noticed her). There were some dogs on the neighboring property that barked whenever we were close to that fence line, in case your dog is sensitive to that. Kelly O.

55My pup Athena loved this space. Plenty to explore which filled up the hour really quick! She loved the water hole and got her zoomies out in the water. Fencing is secure and there are horses on one side of the property, but we were able to avoid them the whole time and still have a ton of space to sniff. The grass is very tall and bushy, so it was hard to chase her around but it gave her a ton of sniffing opportunities.Beata D.

55Where do I start. Today, I took my cane corso lady out for the first time in 4 years, well, other than the vet, to a 3+ acre heaven. The owner Mr. Matthew greeted me and from there we went to discover his beautiful green acreage of rolling hills with incredible views. Mara was so happy seeing something other than her backyard, and the scenery was breathtaking. I realize why Sniffspot probably serves me more than my dog. It enables me to build confidence and trust, as well as, allow my dog to experience freedom from hazards often found in public parks. The fence on Mr. Matthew’s property is a great height and immaculate all the way around, a tea cup yorkie couldn’t even escape. This spot is located in Black Forest and there are amazing little places to stop and shop for local foods and drinks. Amazing experience all the way, I know I will be back!

55GREAT spot. Wide open space to sniff and run. The alpacas are super cute! Good to note that they do share a fence with the spot, so they're not visual only. Nugget had so much fun!Ashley M.

FAQ about our Monument dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Monument area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 164 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 21 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
