35I read the other reviews so I purposely reached out to ask about where we should go to avoid public spots. One of my dog is reactive to other dogs and the reason we use Sniff Spot. There was no response on the day of the visit as to if we were in the right place and no signs to where we were supposed to be. We ended up on the public trail which defeats the purpose and was very frustrating. Tracy did make it right and refunded our money because we left early as we were just wondering around and not sure where it was ok for us to be. It’s a beautiful and large space but just needs more clear direction
35Tracy was responsive when I was trying to find a place to visit. It’s a great location. The only thing I would recommend is letting people know where they’re supposed to park and where on their property they’re allowed to go. I had to text her when I got there because I had no clue where I should head. I would recommend in the future having signs explaining where the trails are and what part of the yard we could use. Otherwise, my dogs had a great visit and loved the Brook and waterfall.
55This is a great spot for bushwhacking in light woods, which my dogs LOVE to do! (I’d suggest that humans wear boots at this site.). There are open areas around the house as well for games. I faintly heard some dogs inside at one point when we got very close to the house but neither of my 2 reactive dogs responded to this and we never saw any dogs. There are beautifully maintained trails and a stream and waterfall in the adjacent Joshua Trust property. If you see yellow blazes on the trail you are off the Sniffspot property and on public land. I didn’t see anyone on the public trails but if you’re concerned about meeting someone on a trail just stay off the yellow-blazed areas. Saw some small wildlife and some coyote scat. Dogs were in olfactory heaven!
45Tracy was very accommodating and responsive. The yard was large with plenty of area for running and if you want to bushwhack a bit you can get down to a lovely pond. My only issue is that I unknowingly started out on a trail that goes right from her property onto a public trail....which is not what I wanted to do. I prefer to be where I am certain there will not be other dogs so that I can let my guys run. I was fortunate that there were no other hikers/dogs out that day because we spent our first hour on that trail. It would be incredibly helpful if people who have larger pieces of property would make a rough sketch of where their property lines are. We all had a great time though.

First time guests use code PUPTOPERF for a $10 discount! Returning renters can use code TRAINYERDOG for a discount too 😉 if you plan on renting regularly consider purchasing a Sniffpass! To access the agility field: Please follow the driveway straight back past the detached garage. There is a gravel road to take you back to the sniffspot. Please park along the fence line of the field in the grass- do NOT park on the gravel road! *If you have never taken agility classes or competed in agility before, please message me and we can set up a time for a private lesson to ensure the safety of you and your dog! Puppies under a year should not be jumping too high or too repeatedly, and the larger pieces of equipment are dangerous for a dog to dismount improperly. And please, no humans on the equipment!* If you move or change the heights of any jumps, please put them back how you found them before you leave! Do not move any of the larger pieces of equipment (weave poles, dogwalk, a-frame, or teeter). AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Saloon door style tire and tunnels from Clean Run. Please potty your dogs outside of the agility field! Keep your dogs leashed for safety as it is not fully fenced outside of the agility field and keep your eyes peeled for poison ivy! Please stay out of the neighbor’s property and out of the fenced in yard close to the house. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. I do my best to keep the field as manicured as possible, but it is the out of doors so nothing is ever perfect! The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure there is nothing pokey on you or your dog’s path! Be nice to the neighbors! And have fun!
