15If I could leave 0 stars I would. I booked 3 days beforehand and didn’t get a single message which is fine, you’d expect there to be signs for parking, (anything other than a bunch of trespassing signs) or at least instructions listed here, but nothing; and when I messaged the host very confused about where to leave my car I didn’t get a single message back (still)…luckily the lack of communication allowed me to stay a while longer, which is fair since it took me so long to figure out which road to follow and where to park. I came mainly for the lake/water feature but found myself looking like a convict breaking around someone’s house when I wanted to go near the water as the only open spots to it are right in front of each cabin! Thank god it wasn’t a busy weekend and I went towards what looked like an empty cabin only to find out from a nice lady kayaking that some guy had been staying there! There was a lighter on the dock so I should have known, and there were large tools very dangerous to have lying around considering you open your property for loose dogs to run around! Seriously I had to pick up a large hatchet and a large rusty shovel and another big sharp gardening tool I’ve never seen before. I almost want to demand a refund considering it’s $50 an hour and no privacy, no dog water station, no dog toys, (or any sort of welcome signs) honestly you wouldn’t even know this place is dog friendly! I payed $75 and honestly feel like I got scammed, please don’t have all these amenities listed if it’s not true! Extremely disingenuous host, I would even call you a thief! This is the most expensive spot I’ve seen on sniffspot and you had me thinking it was worth it! I always have water and bowls in my car but it would have been nice to have some for Cleo while she was swimming and playing. I stayed for a pretty good extra amount of time so I made sure I got my moneys worth, but I don’t know if I’ll be making the drive to come back up here. These people are crazy asking for $50 an hour for an unfenced dirt road and no water access unless there’s an unoccupied cabin (there wasn’t today I got lucky because the guy who’s cabin I was hanging around wasn’t there at the time) which is also concerning for the cabin guests, it’s obvious these people have this just for some extra change in their pockets and don’t take it seriously whatsoever. This is the first sniffspot host with out a sniff spot sign, let alone not a single welcome sign (or anything whatsoever with directions) let alone there are trespassing signs posted everywhere. I got my moneys worth by trespassing today so I definitely don’t think I’ll be coming back. I had to park on the side of the road in the middle of the grass and had absolutely no sense of direction. There’s a few good spots in nj with very nice water features and although their pricey it’s very worth it considering it is private and the host actually knows how to use the app. You should remember these are peoples dogs that you are putting at risk and acting so carelessly about, thank goodness one of the guests didn’t have an aggressive dog loose and THANK GOD i saw all the very hazardous tools before I let my Cleo loose. She actually was loose but she was still sniffing around the cabin before she had started running. I couldn’t care less about the no water, no toys, no nothing, I’m not a Karen but the nerve of you to charge me $75 and not a single message, not one response, I’m a young fit person but I saw another review of an older woman who said she couldn’t even find the water feature, shame on you guys for not only false advertising but also endangering your guests. I usually couldn’t care less but you are ripping people off. Maybe make it $25 or $30 an hour considering guests get no privacy whatsoever since this is a cabin stay and they have to fend for themselves to get directions. Aya A.

Description

Bragstays.com is a retreat that welcomes dogs and their owners to enjoy 200 acres of nature and peace. Our Private Estate has a 6 acre private lake that your pup can enjoy. There are many trails for long walks in the forest and many streams. If you need anything during your visit feel free to contact us! Please note we do have other guests on the property so respect the privacy of the cabins you see. We also have two horses so once you see them please keep your pup on a leash. We have a lot of wildlife make sure your pup has a tick preventative.
