Description

Close in town, but yet country setting on dead end road, 15 acres total, dog park is at front entrance on left. We started a smaller one several years ago, but then decided to wait and build a 6ft fence dog park in front and just finished it Sept 21, 2024! Still adding amenities! Will be open 24 hours after lighting is installed, hopefully soon! I only have 1 neighbor w 2 dogs about 1 acre away which they are not out till late afternoon, there is a train track but no horn, 2 acre park is at front of my 15 acres. I am here 98 percent of the time, I have a horse, 2 donkeys, 3 cats and 2 dogs. My dogs are kept in the house while park is in use. Cats are free roaming but usually stay behind house in barn area or on my back porch. We welcome suggestions as well, as everyone may want different things. Occasionally you will see Deer, Owls, Hawks, Buzzards and my horse and donkeys can sometimes be seen but are several acres away from the dog park. We also have some large tow dumpsters on the property that come and go down the driveway occasionally when they are rented out.

Can be fire ant hills sometimes, I dont use poison, but try to keep them gone by boiling water.

Additional rules

Poop scoop before leaving, bags provided, discard any trash in container supplied. Do not unleash your dog until inside dog park, as I have livestock. There are hooks for leashes next to gate. Park by gates in area where there is landscape poles, water spout with hose is in front of parking area. Also a electric plug on telephone pole by parking. Sometimes after a good rain fire ant mounds form so be aware of them. Also be aware there is a train track nearby, hawks, falcons, cranes flying around so stay close to small dogs. Dogs can see horse and donkeys but they are a few acres away. May also hear gunshots, fireworks and other dogs barking.

I have lived in Burleson for 20 years, I love animals, I have a arabian horse, 2 donkeys, along with my Blue Heeler and my Standard Poodle. Open now, but offically Opening October 1st, 2024, will be adding more amenities soon!
