55It was a great experience! The animals were awesome to be able to see!
35It’s a nice yard, but the fenced portion for the dogs to play in felt small for our two that needed to run. There was some garbage in the yard near the horse pasture that I had to take away from one of the dogs. There was also a lot of dog poop in the yard and the little garbage for poop bags was overflowing. And unfortunately, the animals right up to the fence were a bit too much for our reactive dog (this was the first real test) so that made the yard feel a lot smaller while we kept our distance. Would be great for smaller, more animal friendly dogs to zip around in.
55The spot was wonderful, and we had such a great time meeting the alpacas, horses, and goats! 🦙🐴🐐 Our dogs loved exploring, but we did notice some leftover waste from other visitors’ dogs. A gentle reminder for everyone to follow the cleanup rules would make this amazing spot even better. 🐾 That said, we’ll definitely be back—it’s such a unique and fun place for humans and pups!
55My dogs had a great time seeing the animals and just running around! Very well kept yard and lots of things to be curious about!
55We stopped in for a last-minute visit, and the host was very accommodating! Beautiful yard, and seeing the farm animals in their separate pens was a bonus! My dogs had never seen a horse before!
55Clean well cared for property, fully fenced with lots of fun things to see and play on!
55Very cute spot with fun sniffs for the pups. Ralph and Spice met their first alpacas, mini horses and goats. It was a lot for them but hoping with more exposure they won’t be as scared! Haha it was a well maintained yard and lots of space for fetch and smells. The treats are a bonus to encourage warm welcomes and desensitization of the farm animals as well.
55nice area to sit for humans to engage and watch both the canines and the farm animals. nice open space for push and play ball, fetch and chase games.
45We had a great time! My only concern is I have a very busy small puppy that really wanted to play with the llamas and attempted to try & squeeze under the fence where there was a gap. I ended up “guarding” that section for awhile. But great yard & the extra toys & water were great.
55Fantastic experience! My reactive dog loved it. How unique to be able to see other animals in a safe environment. Definitely worth it and will be back.

While there are some neighbors to the south and SW of us, they are a fair distance away. They are not close enough to make out facial features. To the north is a farmhouse that belongs to the church. On the other side of this is the church. Again, the people are far enough away to not see facial features.

Description

Come enjoy our expansive, completely fenced-in backyard, which is roughly 3/4 of an acre. We are happy to share our backyard with dog(s) and their owners who would like to have a very large, private place for their dogs to run, sniff, and play. The area is on the edge of a rural setting. Enjoy expanses of wide open area as hayfields surround our property. There are many areas for the humans to sit and watch their dog(s) run around and have fun. There is a picnic table, benches, tables/chairs, and gliders. Have fun watching our critters whose pens are just on the other side of our backyard. We have horses, a miniature horse, a miniature donkey, alpacas, goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens. (Dogs are not allowed in with the farm animals.) We have a fenced in garden area within the backyard. The garden is surrounded by rose bushes. In the middle is a courtyard with glider benches around a propane fire pit, a table/chairs, with a tiered water fountain in the middle. (Dogs not allowed within the garden area.) Enjoy the many types of birds that fly overhead on their way to Peltier Lake. There are also Sandhill cranes that show up periodically, as well as turkeys & geese. Treat your dog to a wide open area to sniff, play, and run to their heart’s content. Treat yourself to a pleasant setting that is like no other. We look forward to your visit! (Pet photography is available for an additional fee that is paid separately from SS. Your photography session must be scheduled 24 hours prior to your visit.)

Hazards

Ground is uneven due to tractor driving across lawn before we purchased it. There are also holes that have been dug by prior dog. We advise humans not run across yard and look where you step.

I have been an animal lover my entire life. I was raised on a dairy farm and was surrounded by animals. As the years & decades have progressed, I’ve loved and lost many special dogs over the years. Currently we have 3 dogs….2 small Papillons (Annie & Sunshine) and 1 large Rottweiler cross (Floki). Sunshine is Floki’s fluffy sidekick. Annie is happy whenever she’s next to me.
