ERIE METROBARK PARK RULES A dog that is deemed vicious, per Ohio Revised Code 955.22, May not register or use the off-leash dog park. 1. All dogs must be registered with Erie Metro Parks and wearing the Erie Metro Parks registration collar. 2. Users of the dog park do so at their own risk. Dog owners are responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog (ORC 1533.181). 3. Park users must clean up after their pets. 4. Dogs in heat are not allowed (ORC 955.22B). 5. Each dog must display current license and rabies tag (ORC 955.10 and ORC 955.39). 6. Proof of distemper and parvovirus is required. 7. No puppies under 4 months old allowed because they will not have had all of their vaccinations. 8. Maximum of two dogs per handler. 9. Dogs must be leashed when entering or leaving the dog park. 10. Dogs showing aggressive behavior must be leashed and removed from the park immediately. 11. Users under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when within the dog park. 12. Users are expected to report problems immediately to Erie MetroParks staff or a volunteer on duty at the park. 13. Glass containers are prohibited. 14. Dog treats are prohibited. 15. All pets other than dogs are prohibited in the dog park. 16 . A dog biting another dog will get one warning, second offense - collar is revoked. 17. If a dog bites a visitor, the dog’s membership will be revoked immediately and the dog will be barred from entering the park.
