55I’m so happy I found this spot! Our little guy gets very anxious around other people and dogs so public trails have not been an option for him. He absolutely loved roaming around here without a care in the world. The trails were beautiful and peaceful, and just enough space to keep him entertained. It’s definitely the most fun he’s had in awhile and we will for sure visit again.
55My dogs had a BLAST sniffing all around the forest! Everything was easy to find and clearly very intentionally well kept. Hiiiiighly recommend, especially as a place to safely practice recall with dogs in an unfamiliar but controlled environment.
55Great area for dogs. Trails are clearly marked. Dublin had a blast running all over the woods. Will definitely be going back. He’s passed out in his bed right now. PJudice
55Great place! Dogs had a blast running around the woods, and we appreciated the little table and chairs.
55this space was awesome!! my pup loved it. the ability to have her off leash while exploring and not having to worry about other dogs was so so nice! the amenities are so thoughtful as well. the only thing was that to me, the trail area was much smaller than i expected because of how much land is advertised. still a great spot and we will be back!!
55Very well kept. I loved the great explanations and pictures of where to park. The trails were all cleared of leaves and easy to navigate. Much better upkeep than some places I have been, you can’t get lost. There’s about 0.25-0.3 miles of trails back here. My GSD and I walked around the maze of trails and did about 1.5 miles of walking in 50 min. One hour was ample time to explore everything. My dog loved it.
55Winston and I absolutely loved this spot! Any reactive dog owner knows you have to be on extra alert when hiking on trails. It was very nice to let him explore and be able to fully relax. I will definitely be back!
55Great spot! My dog had a blast
55Generous and responsive hosts. Extremely grateful to be able to borrow such beautiful space to allow our reactive pup some “hiking” freedom. He really had the absolute best time. We heard a dog somewhere out yonder, but otherwise not a soul to be seen during our entire, super enjoyable, visit. Very thoughtful amenities! We look forward to walking and romping around here again, and Arlo+Beth’s grounds are very much worth the trip.
55Duncan had a blast coming here for his birthday!! Loves running through the trails. Such a great place my dogs get to enjoy exploring.

We purchased the farm a few years ago, and since then we’ve been adding trails in the back part of the property for family, friends, and our dog Henry. We think it’s a very beautiful and special place and we hope you do too!

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new and secure chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff, fetch and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… you are surely going to love watching them go!! Zoom-Zoom. The areas along the perimeter are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central portion of the yard is sloped and open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. We have a tennis ball thrower. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! And, the pool cover is elephant and dog proof. The dogs are allowed on the pool cover. It’s our hope that we do our absolute best to provide our Guests with the best experience each time they come over AND that our Guests remain as great as each have been - that we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list Sammy’s Playground at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. Barking IS allowed. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. Confirm that you have locked yourself in by seeing the little red dot and not being able to lift the knob. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs in the yard. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
