Hazards

Potential hazards found in a hardwood forest in Ontario may include: 1. Wildlife encounters such as bears, coyotes, moose etc 2. Poisonous plants like poison ivy, poison oak, or wild parsnip. 3. Uneven terrain with roots, rocks, or fallen branches posing trip hazards. Wear appropriate foot wear. 4. Ticks which may carry Lyme disease (we suggest wearing long socks and suitable footwear to minimize exposure) 5. Weather-related dangers such as sudden storms, lightning, or extreme temperatures. 6. Potential for getting lost if you venture off the marked trails. For your safety, always carry a fully charged cell phone in case you need assistance locating your way back to our trail. 7. Allergens from pollen, mold, or insect stings It's important for visitors to be aware of these hazards and take appropriate precautions while exploring the forest ๐ŸŒณ

Welcome to Sunnie's Sniff Spot nestled on 100 acres of hardwood forest! Our tranquil spot boasts a beautiful walking trail where you and your pup can roam and explore to your hearts' content. My husband and I are full-time residents here, and we have a deep love for dogs and nature. We've recently added to our family and welcomed Sunnie, a sweet, deaf American Bulldog Rescue. Sunnie is incredibly friendly with both humans and dogs alike. We're eagerly looking forward to meeting you and your furry companion at Paws In The Wilderness ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿพ

John and Paula's 60 Acre Private Dog Park In New Lowell

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello and thanks for visiting our page. We are Paula and John. We own 95 acres of mostly forested land. About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.

KB Farm -10 acres of dog space!

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD. Approx 10 acres of pasture available for dogs to run and play with gate access to rail trail right behind property. There is a shed by barn that has dog bowls and toys and treats with bags and hand sanitizer as well as long line leashes if you dont feel confident with your dog being completely off leash at first. Please feel free to use them! Hose is available to be used as well and is out hanging on the gate. To turn hose on you have to go into the barn downstairs, you will see it attached in the little separate front room right inside barn door.No animals currently in pastures which is why im renting it out so it can be used and enjoyed however there may still be some leftover hay bailer twice pieces and horse manure in field so please be aware of this! There is a pond in the one south field and the fencing is livestock fencing and could use some work so smaller dogs would likely be able to get through however You know your dog best so you can choose if the fencing works for you or not. It is along the main road (Hwy 35). The fencing is in as is condition but if you need some extra space for your furry friend(s) to run and play mine sure enjoy it! There is a small 10x10 shelter in the one field and a barn with lights up top. Power and wifi (Bramwell95) are available to be used if needed, feel free to use anything in the shed up top by the main gates for your dog(s) :) Parking can be up by barn gate or you can drive onto the large grassy front yard area and park anywhere on there too.
