Welcome to our 2-acre Sniffspot, a dog paradise designed for every kind of adventure! Our yard offers both fenced and unfenced areas, giving your dog the freedom to explore in the way that suits them best. For added flexibility, we have two fenced sections—one large and one small—so dogs of all sizes and temperaments can enjoy their space comfortably. The big fence provides plenty of room for high-energy play, while the smaller fenced area is ideal for more relaxed or shy dogs. We also feature an unfenced section for dogs that enjoy a wider, open space experience. Whether your pup loves to run, sniff, or simply relax, our yard is the perfect getaway for them!

Unfenced Areas: While the additional acre offers an open space for dogs to explore, it is unfenced, so dogs with a tendency to wander or those without strong recall may need closer supervision. 2. Wildlife: Since the property includes open and natural areas, wildlife such as squirrels, birds, or small animals may occasionally appear, which could be distracting or cause a chase. 3. Uneven Terrain: The recently cleared land and natural sections may have uneven ground, roots, or other natural features that could pose a tripping hazard for both dogs and humans. 4. Weather Conditions: Outdoor spaces can be affected by weather, such as muddy ground after rain or slippery areas. Be cautious of wet or icy surfaces that could affect traction. 5. Fencing Gaps: While our fenced areas are secure, we recommend always checking for any possible gaps or weak spots in the fencing, particularly if you have small or high-energy dogs that may try to squeeze through. 6. Shared Spaces: If there are multiple dogs visiting the property at once, ensure all dogs are friendly with others and comfortable in shared spaces to prevent any conflicts. Hi, I'm Jamie, and I’m excited to welcome you to Michael’s 2-Acre Fully Private Dog Oasis in Statesville! 🐾 This space is part of Infinite Hearts Dog Sanctuary, where we care for and support rescue dogs while providing a safe, fun environment for visiting pups and their families. Currently, we have five resident dogs at the sanctuary. While you may hear them from time to time, they’re usually pretty good and won’t interfere with your visit. Our oasis includes fenced and unfenced areas, picnic tables, and even mystery boxes tailored to your dog’s size for an extra touch of fun during your stay. We’ve designed this space to be a retreat where dogs can run, sniff, and play freely. If you have any questions or special needs for your visit, feel free to reach out. We can’t wait to see you and your furry friends soon! 🐕❤️

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill! 	This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
