55Another fun time at the pink barn!
55A perfect Christmas gift for our dog! Plenty of running and we got a little training in for her too! This is a terrific concept.
55Dogs had a lovely time! Yard was clean! Big enough for them to run around and be pups! Would def go back!
55We had a blast getting all of our energy out!
55Great area!!! I recently adopted a puppy- a rescue from Aruba and was lucky enough to connect with two people in Massachusetts that adopted from the same litter! My pup Rowan was able to play with his brother Elliott yesterday for the first time since arriving in the states! None of us have fully fenced in yards where the puppies can play safely so Sniffspot has been a blessing! And this place was perfect!!!
55This location continues to impress! We had a great time!
45The photos made the yard look huge but it wasn’t. I had trouble finding the entrance to the gate area but the host was very responsive with all my questions. One of my dogs managed to find a dirt patch and roll in it smh (he hates baths).
55Amazing space for active dogs. Lots of smells and space to run! We will be back!
55We had a GREAT visit! The yard was totally fenced-in and the whole area was clean and welcoming! My dog, Wesley is a recent adoptee and I have been trying to get him to break out of his shell and have more confidence, he had a blast! I would 100% book this SniffSpot again!
55My dog had a blast! He explored every inch of the spot. The patio was a nice place for him to sploot in the shade when he got tired. As usual, he didn’t make the whole hour because he had such a fun time!

We have a dog but he will always be inside out of view of the yard. My neighbor's dogs are sometimes visible if they stand at a particular spot at their fence (50'+ separating the 2 fences). If they bark, you can hear them in our yard.

No other domestic animals, but being near the woods means there's sometimes wild animals, including rabbits, turkeys, frogs, toads, birds, or even deer in / around our yard. This also means that you may occasionally encounter fur / feathers / feces from these animals in our yard.

My neighbor runs a daycare, so sometimes you can hear children in their yard (50'+ separating the 2 fences), especially on weekdays before 4pm. While we try to stay out of your way when visiting, there is a chance that you might cross paths with one of us in the driveway when you're coming or going, especially if you arrive late / leave early. You may also see one of us through the windows or hear us in the kitchen if you come very close to the house. We will never be in / around the backyard while you're here.

Description

TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO SNOW - we will reopen when the path from the driveway to the yard is safe and snow-free. Thanks! Welcome to Pink Barn Dog Park! Our large, fully enclosed, semi-private backyard is the perfect spot for your dog(s) to run and play. Our space offers off-street parking, easy entry, and limited views of the street and neighbors. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions! We hope you enjoy our spot!

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

With all the rain we had this summer, there are a lot of mosquitos, regardless of the time of day. There are no mature trees in the yard so shade can be limited, especially in late morning / afternoon. Exterior lighting is limited, so we recommend booking during daylight hours to maximize your enjoyment of the space. Sometimes the grass is longer than other times depending on our availability to mow the lawn. The walk from the driveway to the backyard can be a little soft / muddy, especially if it's just rained. The yard is sloped, with some uneven spots. You will need to walk up a slight incline to enjoy full use of the yard.

Additional rules

We ask that you are respectful of our space and do your best to leave it the way you found it! :) Please be transparent and send us a message if there are any problems or your pup causes some damage. While we understand that dogs will dig, please do your best to keep your dogs from digging, especially in the grass. Please keep dogs off of patio furniture. The temporary fence surrounding the vegetable garden is loose (thanks to our puppy), making it possible for curious pups to get inside. We don't mind if your dogs find their way into the garden and sniff around in the tall plants, but please do your best to keep them from eating our remaining tomatoes.

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new and secure chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff, fetch and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… you are surely going to love watching them go!! Zoom-Zoom. The areas along the perimeter are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central portion of the yard is sloped and open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. We have a tennis ball thrower. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! And, the pool cover is elephant and dog proof. The dogs are allowed on the pool cover. It’s our hope that we do our absolute best to provide our Guests with the best experience each time they come over AND that our Guests remain as great as each have been - that we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list Sammy’s Playground at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. Barking IS allowed. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. Confirm that you have locked yourself in by seeing the little red dot and not being able to lift the knob. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs in the yard. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
