Does life feel “ruff” sometimes? Maybe it’s time to run free in an enclosed private backyard with lots of grass. Or are you looking to “make your mark” in this world? Or perhaps you just want to “paws” and relax in the shade. If so, then Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for you....and your awesome human, too! Shaggy’s Shack in Tempe has lots of grass for running, chasing balls, and doing the zoomies! It’s fully enclosed with a 5 to 6-foot block wall and more than 25 trees and bushes to explore. You can play fetch with tons of toys and there’s a designated digging spot, too. Or maybe you just want to cool off in a diving pool that’s professionally cleaned every Wednesday–even during Tempe’s cold months. Oh, and Shaggy’s Shack also has features shaded chairs for your human to relax as they watch you explore, play fetch, swim, and have a pawsitively good time. Shaggy’s Shack’s residents (and their humans) will be home but out of sight. The entire lot is just shy of a half-acre, and it’s conveniently located in Tempe. Many dogs live in the area, they may bark in greeting when they hear you. We offer many pawsome amenities at Shaggy’s Shack, including bags and a trash can for your nature calls and a disposable water dish with lots of fresh water (and water for your human, too). Clean towels for drying off after you’ve doggie-paddled in the pool are also provided. Of course, use of the pool is at your and your human’s own risk. The pool is chlorinated and not heated in the winter months. Your human may use the pool to get a closer look at your pawsome doggie paddling technique. While we provide towels for you, we ask that your human brings their own towels. There is no fence or gate around the pool, and we strongly encourage you to bring your own doggie life vest if you do decide to get your paws wet. Discounts are available for multiple dogs. Visit times can be extended if there is availability. Respecting Sniffspot’s 30-minute transition time between visit times is very important. So that no one gets hurt or gets into something that could be dangerous, glass, alcohol and smoking are prohibited. All pups need to be up-to-date on all vaccinations to keep our resident and visiting doggos healthy. Since Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for dogs, please be mindful of your doggie to human ratio; kids are welcome but must be 100% supervised, especially around the ungated, unfenced pool. Our goal is to make your time at Shaggy’s Shack loads of fun for you and your human so you’ll come back again and again. Be aware of various uneven walking terrain that includes rocks, gravel, flagstone, concrete, bricks, grass, wet surfaces. *Shaggy’s Sniffspot site is intended for pups and their humans to enjoy yard and water play. The use of the swimming pool is intended for pups and their attentive humans only. Humans, up to 2, may use the pool as part of supervising their pup in the pool only. We ask that the human bring their own towel. Human pool parties and/or human-lounging in the pool are not allowed. This keeps our Sniffspot and our pool maintenance costs low. *Towels are provided for pups – just leave soiled towels on the ground. *All pups must be fully vaccinated so we keep our resident and visiting dogs safe & healthy. *Please close or do not expand the umbrellas if it is windy. *No smoking *No glass containers *No alcohol. *Thank you in advance for respecting our space! 🐾💕

We are huge dog lovers and the owners of wonderful dogs over the years. Shaggy, a lab mix, was quite the escape artist frequently found hanging out with the musicians on Mill Avenue until we moved here 25 years ago. He realized how good he had it with a huge backyard, a cool pool and lots of nature to explore. Over the years we’ve been blessed with a Lab, a Golden, Border Collies and Chihuahua mixes. Most of our pups have been rescues and yes, it is true, they did rescue us. Because of all the unknowns at dog parks and the pawsome feeling of seeing dogs run free, we are so happy to share our big backyard with pups and their “furbulous” humans. We hope you enjoy your visit at Shaggy’s Shack!
