Description

We have a fully fenced in yard. There is one gap, but we have covered it with cinder blocks. It is a 6 ft privacy fence, so you shouldn’t see the neighbors. One set of next door neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out. Please keep dogs on leash when outside of the yard. Thank you! Out in the yard there will be balls for your pup to play with, a water bowl, and a hose. We can also set up a tent we use for vendor events when it’s sunny or raining for shade/coverage. Just let us know in advance. There is also shade from a large tree in the yard. If you need a dog first aid kit, we will have one in the house along with things like water for humans, snacks for pups and humans, and a restroom for humans to use. If you need a towel for your pup, let us know, and we’ll be glad to give you a dog towel to use. We will bring things out to you. These are only available if we are home. Street parking is available at all times. You may park in the driveway, but please ask first in case one of us is going to have to leave (or coming back) while you are there.

We have a planter box with veg. Just keep the dogs out of it to be safe.

Additional rules

1. Keep dogs on leash when not in the yard. 2. Please pick up after your dog. We will have dog bags for you to use. It can be thrown out in the green garbage bin by the driveway. 3. Do not block our cars in the driveway if one of us is needing to leave during your rental. 4. Keep dogs out of our planter box. They can pee on it, but please do not let them dig up our plants. 5. Please leave things as they were when you arrived. Be mindful of our space and take care of it like your own. 6. Keep a respectable noise level. Please do not be loud and bother us or the neighbors. 7. Provide proof of vaccinations. While it will be private, we don’t want any possible lingering diseases on the ground. 8. If you suspect your dog is sick, please cancel your reservation. Thank you!

We’re Janet and Edward. We are big animal lovers and would love to share our large privacy fenced yard near-ish to downtown Durham. Janet is a pet sitter/dog walker (Fur Friends Pet Care LLC) and professional wrestler, and Edward is a PhD student who is home the majority of the time. We have four amazing pets (1 dog and 3 cats). Our dog will never be out when someone is using our yard as he is too elderly/sick to play.
