55Joannie was the perfect host. We went with a total of six dogs and they had a ball! There was water available for the pups at the front and plenty of space for them to explore. The area was fenced off and we didn’t worry about them getting out in the road. We basically let them run free, the pups were tired after 30 minutes! 😆
55What a wonderful place! Paradise for both people and dogs, for sure. My girl Fiona had a great time exploring the property and vibing with Joannie. Highly recommend!
55Wonderful visit! Met at the gate by the owner who gave us the ins and outs of the property. Then had a wonderful hike around the property. Very few cacti on the trails and wonderful views. Will be back again.

55I have never seen my dogs happier than they were today at Joannie’s spot! My two dogs are both reactive rescues, and have never had been off leash before, other than in our small back yard. Watching them run, play and explore was a joy. Joannie welcomed us at the gate (he is a wonderful host!) and explained how the space is laid out. My one dog can clear a fence with no issues, but this space is so well thought out, with dog behavior and safety in mind. And to top it off, the property is ridiculously beautiful and peaceful, with amazing hill country views at the top. We can’t wait to come back!

55Great spot! So much space to really let them run! Fence was secured and it was easy to find. Plenty of tools to play with but if your dogs are anything like mine, they'll ignore the toys and run! We were there for an hour and a half and don't think we even saw the whole place. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Would be back again!

I keep my dogs and any guest dogs separated during your visit. Unless otherwise discussed your dogs won’t know other dogs are there. If we find a reason to introduce them, I like to introduce new pups in a controlled way. usually by letting a new pup explore the property for a while and then introducing them to the pack one at a time. if you watch some of the videos on my instagram, it’s clear how well they make friends. it’s also ok to request little or no contact. we have the space to accommodate that need for any dog and parent.

Hello!! BIG PLANS!! Thank you to every dog and human that supported us this past year. Puppy Paradise in Salado has made so many dogs happy. Visit @puppyparadisesalado to learn more or continue reading. For every new Instagram follower, 1 minute of land clearing and Puppy Paradise construction. Capped at 10 million minutes. For every in person visit, I will budget 30 minutes of land clearing and amenity creation. For every friend group that visits, I will budget 1 hour of pond building and stream reclamation. I will post time lapses along with reported numbers on Instagram. If the page gets to 300k followers I will make Puppy Paradise construction my full time job. I live on the property with my pups and I’ve been surprised at how well they do navigating some of the cactus plants and thorns. We have yet to see to many hazards beyond tired legs from running. Every day, I invest several more hours to build up the vision for a puppy paradise in my mind.

SniffFund Me - Summer Dog Pool$50

This is a big one. The cost of building a dog pond will take several years but in the meantime we can build a much smaller dog pool. We need 100 people to choose this add on in order to build a 33” stock tank pool with a pond liner and gravel bottom. We will use a smaller stock tank to create a wetland filter. 0/100

SniffFundMe-bridge\rain shade$5

The total cost of building the walking bridge is $5000 and creating a 20’X20’ sun/rain shade will cost $2400. I have already invested in a 40’ container which will be the main body of the bridge. I am milling cedar with a small chain saw. All of the income from this Add-On will go directly to these projects. A spreadsheet of incoming donations at items sourced with these funds can be access upon request.
