Sniffspot's private dog parks are the best way to exercise your dog. We have the best variety and the best priced dog parks anywhere!
Just about 10 acres of open rolling prairies, creek, and forest for you and your furry one(s) to roam. There is poor cell reception at this Sniffspot, so it is recommended that guests screenshot the picture of the boundaries (picture #2) to reference when you are here. Sturdy shoes and pants are recommended. This is a natural forage prairie area. There are blackberry bushes along the road and some fencing, but gaps do exist so exercise caution. That said, there is plenty of room far away from the road to play fetch, run around, explore etc. Stay to the right of the power lines when viewing from the parking area. Please try to stay out of the muddy swale area. The best place to cross this area is at the bottom (see picture #2) where the creek starts. Booking availability times are M-Sun 8AM-6PM.
Fido's is your perfect country getaway! This is a fantastic property for your fur baby to enjoy their very own backyard oasis. Treat your pupper to our 2.66 acres, which is completely fenced with an electronic gate and private off-street parking. It is conveniently located about 5 miles from hwy 101, just 10 minutes from downtown Shelton, 30 minutes from Olympia, and 25 minutes from Hoodsport. You and your furry friend will have ample space to run around in with plenty of sniffing opportunities. We offer memberships to our location!! I apologize in advance if guests don't pick up the poop after their four-legged friends. I am not always available between bookings to police and clean up after guests. Pay it forward: if you see poop, pick it up for everyone to enjoy their visit ❤️ you may have missed one yourself and the guest after you will do the same 🥰
Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. There are two driveways onto the property. You want the north one with the sign "Ericksen." After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Please do not enter the farmhouse yard. The residents of the farmhouse are not the sniffspot hosts. For any questions, issues, or suggestions about how I can improve this spot, please drop me a message or call me, Annika, at 253-346-5863. New: accepting donations for COMPOST, like leaves, lawn clippings, pumpkins, newspaper, fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds, annual plants including tomatoes, used potting soil, tree trimmings, etc. You'll see the compost receptacle as you come up the driveway.
Follow our FB page for open days. Farm store open soon! Watch FB for opening date. All sorts of outdoor and doggo goodies! Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WE BLOCK OUT ALL DAY BOOKINGS FOR SNIFFSPOT APPOINTMENTS. Check out our website, insta and FB page for more photos too! Happy Sniffing!!l

Welcome! We offer a 1 acre, fenced spot for your dog(s) to run, play, dog, sniff and bark! >> Please note! Perimeter fence was replaced and spot now includes additional space! There are more trees and brush included for your dogs sniffing pleasure. Please use caution, there are some new trip hazards and holes. We have walked this multiple times but things may continue to work their way out of the newly exposed earth. We think dogs will enjoy even more but be aware, it’s a little more wild than before! << Beautiful views and farm animal neighbors add to the fun. Shade, seating and a covered area make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass, slight hills, a sand pile and dirt to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! Ground will likely be soggy but we will close if entrance becomes unsafe. >>Pool is empty for the season<< During warm weather there is a 9’ stock tank pool (not filtered) for dogs. One person may accompany a dog but please no children. Private parking for one or two vehicles available. If additional needed, please message host. Clean porta potty available for guest use. This is also used by others, please keep dogs leashed in this area. This park is dedicated to Dexter, the King of Bork. He was a loud, happy guy that lived to bark! He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.
Now is the time to come visit! It is just wonderful being in the woods, just beautiful! I've been walking around checking it out - it is still spring, green, leafy, mysterious, cool, lots of birds singing. Even when it rains there are rain shadows due to the huge trees. I can never get enough. Meanwhile, we are working on improvements. Planted 2 pink dogwoods I received from a friend as a present, and an Asian pear. Several lithodora are going in on the retaining wall. Planted grass and 5 new variegated plants in the rockery parking area. I'm adding hoses to all the water hydrants with spray nozzles. When we close for planned improvements I'll post it here. Bring your friends and their dogs too! Embark on an enchanting forest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of the Pacific Northwest’s natural rainforest. Wonderlane beckons you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek. Choose your path—be it the left or right entrance—and meander down Flying Horse Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase. At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven within our partially fenced sanctuary. Our land, a tapestry of fences, natural barriers, trails, and creeks, is a safe haven for play. Once trodden by horses, these trails have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life with over 600 saplings, The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, and Western Red Cedar, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, giant BigLeaf Maple, Alders, and Vine Maples' frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living painting of nature. Though some wildlife is a rare sight, the forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk or run on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent over four years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit and revel in the company of your dogs. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away. Join our community on Facebook, by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser there, and watch tales of joy. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 Wonderlane is more than a walk in the woods—it’s where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! Remember, if your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. So come, let the forest’s magic envelop you and your best friends at Wonderlane, where every trail is a story waiting to unfold. A guest mentioned bringing bug repellent so beginning May 26th for the summer, we recommend bringing repellent or wearing it when you drop into the forest, and on to the creek area. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. The best is yet to come!
It’s a pretty good sized property for you & your dog to a lot of fun, it’s right on the water of Horseshoe Lake with a gazebo and a dock & also a boardwalk right on the water, there’s also an apple tree that grows good apples in the summer & your dog can have a lot of fun running around & maybe get in the water. Overall I would call it a dogs paradise
Come on over and let your dogs run, with Puget Sound salt water access right on the property. Rental Includes the use of our 2 kayaks. Unfenced, but we have a few dog tie out lines around the property if you need them.
Welcome! 🐶 Where Tails Tell Tales of Pure Joy! Our spacious backyard is entirely enclosed, featuring ample room and direct water access to Lake Fenwick! Additional info: 🚗Parking: Private parking lot & street parking 🚪Entrance: Gate on the left side of the house (near the huge large tree) 💐Dogs can explore both the front and back yard. The front yard is fully fenced except for the front driveway gate which the guests are welcome to close if they like. The backyard is fully fenced (better for small dogs). 🎾Toys & Supplies: Plastic Container by the table 💧 Water: Fresh water is provided 🗑Garbage: Trash bin near the table ✨ Lights: Currently, we don't recommend booking after sunset since we haven't put up sufficient lighting up yet, but we will soon! Welcome to Shady Hill Hobby farm! Our farm offers a wooded pasture with a creek (note: during summer months the creek is muddy) that is fully fenced with horse fencing or barbed wire (see pictures). The gate at the end of the gravel path begins your off-leash experience! Once inside, you'll have the option to take a left to enjoy the creek or continue up the hill to explore the woods and pasture. Upon entering the farm, parking will be on your right. Please park your vehicle on the wood chips. Given this is an active farm with chickens and ducks free ranging we do ask that you keep your dog(s) on a leash until you are behind the Sniffspot gate. You are also welcome to observe the farm animals while your dog is leashed as well. We hope you enjoy our farm as much as we do. ~ Hall Family
35 Beautiful acres of open land. Mostly untouched. Located in a rural area.
We’ve been receiving a lot of messages asking if we are still offering our spot. As with many things, a few bad apples have caused us to stop, offering it to the public. People were leaving behind half eaten tennis balls that were dangerous for our livestock, as well as plastic poop bags littering our field. We set aside 7 1/2 acres for the public to come and enjoy when we weren’t using it for grazing our animals, and people would complain about sheep poop. It was tiring picking up after people, and sniffspot taking 25% of our earnings. It was wonderful getting to know many of you, and we are sorry that others couldn’t appreciate what we were offering and had to tear it apart and leave litter behind. We may possibly open up again in the future.
A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.
Our 20 acre farm is on the end of a dirt road. It is very secluded, yet close to town. With all of our farm animals, your dog will have a blast exploring. Barker creek divides our property and half and provides a scenic view and a fun swim for your doggie. You may want to bring towels for the car ride home if you have a swimmer!
Partially fenced dog park with farm animal sightings and a creek in the back of the property. * Until we get fully fenced dogs with good recall only. You can also utilize the lead that goes down the back yard starting at the small barn to the creek entrance.* there is a swing set and slide in the back as well as a trampoline. 1.5 acres
We are closed for maintenance.
All fenced there's a parking spot in driveway
Welcome! Come enjoy the yard it has a running creek so your animal can have a nice drink. At the moment there is a wood chip pile that dogs are welcome to run up and down on. There are logs of they want to run those also. I am home a few days out of the week. I won't be a bother to you while you are here on the day's I am home. There are chickens out some days and other days not. The chickens do not bother my dogs. Also my dogs would be put away during the day for the most part. Unless the dogs are already out while upon your arrival they won't be out during stay. Someone does come and let them out. The yard is unfenced and close to the highway. Highway can be seen from yard. There is a county fence blocking the freeway and the yard. Cannot guarantee that there is no holes in the fence that animals can get through.
