Inspired by our beloved dog, Storm, who found his bliss in these very waters, we’ve created a sanctuary in his memory not just for him, but for all dogs who love to swim, play, and simply be the happiest versions of themselves. Nestled in the heart of our tranquil backyard, our pool offers a serene escape for dogs and their owners alike. Designed with love, it’s the perfect size for dogs of all breeds to swim comfortably and safely. The pool is equipped with easy-access steps. The deep end of the pool is approximately 5 feet deep and the shallowest part is approximately 3 feet deep. While your fur baby enjoys the pool, relax on our poolside loungers or on patio chairs shaded under an umbrella. Doggy lifejackets will not be available on site but it is recommended to bring your own. Please bring your own dog toys/balls and towels. Please note the pool is a chlorine pool. There is a hose available if you would like to rinse off your dog after swimming. Private Dog Park In Waterdown at Goldenwood Acres

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD.*** **Gate is back up and Fully Fenced as of April 21, 2024** Welcome to Goldenwood Acres! On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall in the late summer! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. Park has one main gate. This season we will also be placing picnic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). If you have any questions, please let me know.

Burlington Humane Society's Fully Fenced Dog Park

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. 60 acres of fields, trails, ponds, and forests. Trails are more like hiking in the woods and not suited for bikes or any other equipment. Large pond where your dogs would love to swim for hours. Sorry for safety reasons the Paddle boats are not for public use. Enjoy. Rubber boots are strongly recommended on rainy days. Guests, please, pick up after your dogs. Drop trash in the big metal bin.

I was greeted very warm and kindly by the owner of the home. The yard looks bigger than the photos. My dogs had an absolute great time, and I got tired also playing with them. Yard was very clean. Lots of toys (I owe a squeaky pig, my big boy gutted it for the fluff inside to murder the squeaker haha), fresh water, poop baggies and trash. Very pleasant and humble experience. Thank-you so very much :)

Nice spot, easy to find and plenty of street parking available as promised. The gate latch is broken so it's a little wonky but still can be used to fully latch the gate. The one neighbour did have a dog outside which was a bit of a challenge to my reactive dog but they brought the dog in shortly afterwards and I used it as a training opportunity. The 3 foot fence behind the hedge on that side held all my three in but beware if you have a dedicated escape artist they may be able to hop it. Yard was large and wide open as described, good for my dogs to run around, play a little fetch and practice some recall work. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We were over the moon when we received notification of this spot. It is close to home which is a huge bonus. It is a large yard and we really enjoyed playing with Sadie here! It was clean and safe. The owner did come out and greet us briefly. Our dog is very reactive and many dogs could be seen walking off leash on a trail close to the fence which was a bit of a down side for us. We kept Sadie closer to the house and it did limit the use of the entire space. If you have a medium to large dog like us, there is a makeshift brick structure that can be easily jumped and your dog can take off into other yards which are not fenced and also access to the wooded trails. We had to be very aware of where Sadie went and had to distract her alot so she wouldn’t take off when dogs were near. All in all, we still highly recommend this spot and will likely go again! Thank you for opening up your yard to us!🐾

The yard was a great large size for my large breed dog! It was a very clean space and had a compost bin to dispose of our dogs waste bags, which was very convenient! Daniel was also reachable over text which was great to let him know we were running a tad bit late. Very great host and secure fence for Jett. Didn’t see any other dogs near the property or in the neighbours yard which was great since my dog is reactive, 115 pounds and in ecollar training :) I recommend this property and would definitely visit again!

I love how big this yard is! My 2 Aussies have enough room to explore, chase each other, and play fetch. One of them is very reactive towards other dogs but wasn’t bothered by the barking bulldog next door. Since the yard is so big, you can control the distance between the dogs making it a perfect training opportunity for reactivity. Highly recommend! Thanks Daniel!

Very nice, well kept yard. The neighbours on both sides do have dogs that bark, so be mindful if your dogs are reactive. The dogs seemed friendly. The fence was short at some places, but my shepherd mix was well contained. Lots of space to run and play. Great spot, will be back!

Our grandson, 16 yrs, and our large Shepherd/Husky, Shiloh, had a wonderful time chasing around this spacious backyard! It's roomy enough to accommodate lots of energetic play, but also offers trees and bushes for 'time out'. Magda is a lovely, friendly host and the backyard of her home overlooks a gorgeous, welcoming green space with a river running through it. (Not part of the Sniff Spot, just beautiful to look at!) We all had a great time and plan to return for sure!

The place was perfect for Iver, my 2yo 70 lbs siberian who loves running. We got to train off leash in a safe and secure environment and I got to reward him with his favourite reinforcer which is running (something difficult to do in public places). Definitely will be back again.

What a great host! Sweet details :) My dog goes crazy for eating long grass so if yours does too just keep an eye out for the edges of the fence and under the play structure.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

Are dog parks safe?
