55Our dog loved exploring the woods! Definitely heed the hostā€™s advice about bringing a towel for your dogā€™s pawsā€”parts of the woods are a bit muddy. Weā€™re looking forward to coming back again soon!
55We had so much fun exploring. Will definitely be back.
55We had a great time exploring in the woods! Bopp LOVED climbing over fallen trees, nosing though leaves, and walking thought mud (bring towels and grooming wipes!) it was quiet-no other dogs barking, no traffic on the road. Weā€™ll be back again
55The fresh leaves on the ground turned this regular spot for us into a new adventure! My guy did NOT want to leave!
55Great place!
55This area is rural and wooded with a lot of interesting things to sniff, navigate and see. My three dogs loved it. Two were able to be off leash, which was more conducive to the spot, but the other one who had to remain on leash, still had a great time. We will definitely return. Be aware that yours dogs will likely have muddy paws at the very least, so be prepared. Next time we will have towels and extra water for cleaning up.
55As described a great place for my dog to explore, thank you
55Our dog had a great time exploring the woods. Appreciate the prompt to bring towels--he got muddy and we needed them!
45My dog and his buddy had a great time here. They ran around, got wet and stinky, and chased a deer. The only thing that would have made it better for me is if there were some trail through the woods because I'm worried about poison ivy and ticks. But that's on me, not the location. Thank you
55We did some long leash work and overall sniffari. The property was exactly as described and perfect for what we needed. Thanks!

Description

This is privately owned land in Chelsea and will allow you to take your dog for a run in a mowed area with sections of long grass and also for a run through the woods. The wooded area has a significant amount of wetland that the doggies love to get filthy in so bring towels if you expect your dogs to run in the woods. You may see deer and other wild animals on the property. This is an awesome spot to take your pupper out in the wilds for a truly unique dog park experience. My puppers have a blast whenever we bring them out - and so does my 15 year old son. Please be careful on the wooded path as there are a lot of trip hazards in the form of dead trees and logs.

Cleanliness

97% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are some shallow holes on the mowed portion of the property that we will be filling and will update this listing when done. The wooded area has some wetland that your dogs will get wet and dirty in so be prepared if you plan to let them go into the woods.

Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

šŸŒ³šŸŒ²Welcome to Wynshire Woods! šŸŒ²šŸŒ³ We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property, and wildlife and farm animals are abundant. Because we have free range chickens and goats up near our home, all dogs must be leashed or on a long line. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. Any dogs who enter our farm area and hurt or traumatize animals will be fined. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property. šŸ”øšŸ”øšŸ”øšŸ”øšŸ”ø We are going into hunting season, and will be closed on the weekends so my husband can hunt. I will make sure any additional days heā€™s hunting I have the spot blocked off. For extra precaution (because there are properties neighboring us that people hunt), dogs should be kept on leash through hunting season (Oct 1-Dec 31). Iā€™ve also purchased 2 orange dog vests that Iā€™ll hang up in the hay barn/hut by the parking area that you can use while walking. (You may want to wear an orange hat as well). Just to be clear- no one will be hunting on our property when the trail has open days. I just want to be extra cautious because there are fields/woods outside our property that people do hunt. šŸ˜.
