i will do my best to put the donkeys into their stable before your arrival. however, they are known to be stubborn. they are sometimes partially visible from one of the play areas but not generally visible from the other larger play areas near the creek. donkeys are not friendly to dogs and it’s best to not allow your dog to approach them or get near their fenced area.

Additional rules

Parking is on the gravel right in front of the barn. A note about our Donkeys: It is ok to pet the donkeys through the fence but without your dog present and please do not feed the donkeys. ***It’s important that you have enough control or command over your dog to keep him/her away from the donkey & their area. Miniature donkeys, while sweet and loyal are trained to protect small herds and can hurt dogs if their instinct kicks in. Pun intended. I’ll need some advance notice so that I can keep your dogs safe by either securing the donkeys into their stable or asking you to only play near the fields at the creek since generally the donkeys would be out of sight from your dog’s curiosity. If you have good command over your dog then all should be good. But I just want to make sure to keep everyone safe. Especially your dog and any children. Also, please watch out for fire ants and other wildlife such as snakes. Play at your own risk. It’s a certified wildlife preserve so we do not use pesticides or fertilizers and you will see weeds or overgrown areas that are natural habitats for wildlife. Leave no trace applies to all areas especially the creek. Should you need the restroom just let me know. At times I’ll be offering other services such as picnic options, proposal setups, and tours of the historic farm, etc. So feel free to check out that. Other than that please observe the other basic rules and most of all Enjoy your Funtime here at Mountain Laurel Farm with your furbaby!
