55Such a wonderful spot! At first pulling into the neighborhood I thought no way this is right. My gps said it was a different house on the street. Thankfully everything was beautifully labeled! I knew exactly where to park and enter since the easy to see sniff spot signs were there! Everything there is set up so intentionally and is very clear that this is done out of love for dogs! Two trains went by, the first time it freaked one of my dogs out for a second but on the second train was like whatever. Something to be mindful of if you have a noise sensitive dog though. Hopefully you don’t because it’s a great spot! We will definitely be back!
55This is a lovely location in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The space was well taken care of and all set up for us. A+
55Fence is very secure! Other neighbors’ yards and other neighbors are seen and heard from the spot, so keep that in mind if your dog is people-reactive. I saw a golden retriever 3 backyards away, but my dog did not see him. Sullivan absolutely loved this spot, as he LOVES to sniff around and explore. A lot of thought and care was put into this Sniffspot and I’m sure I will be back with my other dogs! The views are beautiful.
55Such a gorgeous clean spot!
55It was nice place. Clean and has a good river view.
55First time Sniffspot user here and I don't think I could have found a better location. The host has thought of everything; water, first aid kit, welcome book with valuable information on the area and interesting facts about dogs. The grounds were clean, the landscaping kindly had "dog friendly" plants, and the location was peaceful all around. I have 2 Greyhound/Saluki mix dogs who enjoy running laps around our garage, but to see them sniffing all of the new smells, and have the ability to run to full speed was a sight to behold, they even got to chase the train! I cannot thank Morgan for allowing us to experience that. We will definitely be booking again. I didn't take any pictures of them today as I think I was just as excited as they were but next visit I will have to take some to share. Do yourself and your pups a favor and book some time at Riverview. You will not regret it.
55Wonderful Sniffspot! Easy to find, parking and access was well marked. The sniffspot was super clean and there were plenty of things to occupy my dog. Many sniffs and so much enrichment. The yummy freeze dried treats for sale were an added bonus! Would love to return.
55This was our first sniff spot experience and boy they set the bar high! So many nice touches for both dogs and humans alike! Our dogs loved all of the sensory features and we loved the covered seating. We will definitely be back soon :)
55Both my pups had a great time! There was plenty of room to roam and okay ball. The host has created a very inviting space complete with information, shade to sit down, and bottles of water. The area was clean and the fencing is awesome.
55Perfect spot my dogs ran around and enjoyed themselves- Canopy and a bench and water bowls-nice to have a doggy poop station- how thoughtful 100% will be back- definitely worth the drive

PLEASE DO NOT RENT THE FIELD UNLESS YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE SPORT OF DOG AGILITY! If you have never taken classes or competed before, please message me and we can set up a time for a private lesson to ensure the safety of you and your dog. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, table, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Saloon door style tire and tunnels from Clean Run. Please potty your dogs outside of the agility field! Feel free to wander around outside of the back gate, but do keep your dogs leashed for safety as it is not fully fenced and keep your eyes peeled for poison ivy! It is low tech back there. There is no electricity, running water, or lighting (yet). Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. I do my best to keep the field as manicured as possible, but it is the out of doors so nothing is ever perfect! The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure there is nothing poky on you or your dog’s path! If you move or reset any equipment, please put it back how you found it before you leave. Your rental $ will go to the “have the field professionally leveled and reseeded” fund so if you’d like to donate extra to the cause and get that done sooner, please leave a few dollars in the donation box. I unfortunately have not yet been able to grow a money tree on the property 😢 Be nice to the neighbors! And have fun!

Hound Hill Rustic 1 Acre Fenced Private Dog Park in West Avon

Find us on Facebook! Search: Hound Hill, 1 acre fenced private dog park in West Avon Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!
