Description

1/27 As the ground thaws this site will have some muddy spots. Have you ever wanted to run your dog on three football sized flat fields? This is your chance. Located behind UPM Raflatac in the cane creek industrial park this huge spot is the third one we have built. It’s perfect for all ages of dogs and their humans because of the terrain! If you are up for an adventure, we have cut in a small trail to access Cane Creek. It is part of the same property but is NOT fenced in any way. If your pup enjoys off or on leash hikes, then feel free. The trail is outside the fenceing look for the silver gate across from the Gazbo. It is an out and back path with two small hills about a 3-5min walk in the woods. A picnic table, gazebo with swing, and hammock are located here for lots of seating and shelter. Some toys are provided. I think a Remote Control car or a drone, a mountain bike might be really fun to bring or even a Remote Control plane. This spot is actually part of the old Fletcher airport. All I want in life is to help people to have balanced dogs in their lives! Enjoy!

Ground will be wet after a heavy rain. This area is a flood plane. The trail will be muddy after wet weather. This site took a huge hit from Helene but it was rebuilt, there is silt left behind throughout the site because of this event. Gun shots may be heard from a neighbor across the creek. Shade is provided by a shelter otherwise it’s in full Sun. Please bring water for yourself and your pets or take a small hike to Cane creek and enjoy the "beach". This trail is not fenced. I am an avid equestrian and love dogs. I was born and raised in Asheville. My horse farm is in candler and I have 4 dogs of my own. I spend as much time as I can fostering puppies for a few local shelters and I enjoy providing spaces for dogs to play in as many areas around me as I can.
