55Had a good time- my dog was pretty reactive with the pig there but we used that time to try and work on that- I would appreciate a Sniffspot sign so I know exactly where to go- Thank you
55This was an amazing sniffspot!! The pig was so sweet and awesome. My dog loved her and wanted to play with her. It was a treat for the humans too. Pup definitely left tired!
55Our pup had such fun exploring the creek. Andrea is a lovely host!
55Again another awesome visit. Thanks for hosting Brooke!
55My GPS messed up but Brooke’s directions helped! Location as described, my dog loved it and we’ll be back for sure!!
55The space was just as described. Appreciated having a nearby spot for my dog to run and play. Host was a good communicator. Thank you!
55Nice spot to stop by and get some running around and sniffing in! Thanks
25Passing through the area and needed a stop for the pup. We appreciate Sniffspot owners! Looks like Brooke's Homestead is brand new last month. We would say it has lots of potential but isn't quite there yet. We found it difficult to open the gate between the two yards. There was a lot of dog poop in the back field so we had to leave that area and chose the back yard by the house instead. Balls and small dogs could get under the deck and possibly under the fence though that wasn't a problem for our pup. Again, we really think there is potential for Brooke's Homestead and appreciate her opening her yard.
45The yard is a fantastic place for a dog to run and sniff around! Unfortunately the husky living in the trailer barked at and set off our reactive dog, so that was the end of off-leash time and ultimately the reason we had to leave early. Highly recommend this sniffspot for anybody with less-reactive dogs.
55Great spot! Surprisingly less muddy than expected considering all the recent rain.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!
