Enclosure

Partially Fenced

Fencing details: The South and West side are fenced as well as most of the wooded area. The lowest point of the property line fence is about 2 feet. Also a toy breed can probably fit through it.

Sometimes

we have two dogs that won’t be let out while you’re here unless you’re ok with it. however the neighbors in the east have four dogs as well as three more that come visit most weekends. our yard is open to theirs so occasionally our dogs go onto each other’s property and they play together. they’re usually only out a few times a day though and for the most part stick around their own house. i will also let them know you’re coming.

we have two cats one of which refuses to come inside and is usually only seen when she comes up in the evenings to eat. the other one is mostly indoors, she should be inside when you’re here. there are farm animals on the surrounding properties but they are rarely visible. we just got a beehive too, idk if that would be considered a domestic animal but i feel the need to mention it somewhere.

You should never see anyone (people or pet) outside on the property from arrival through departure. I can’t say the same for the neighbors.

Description

About 2 acres of woods, about a quarter acre completely open with no trees. The rest is open but there are a few trees spread throughout. There’s also a couple trails around the property and through the woods.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There’s barbed wire on most of the fenced areas, there’s also old dilapidated pigsty’s that could have rusty nails near them. We have a lot of black walnut trees as well and the husk is toxic to dogs but that’s never been a problem before. Roadside is not fenced although it is country so it’s not busy.

My name’s Zachary, I’m 27, I live here part time with my parents, we have a Golden Retriever, a German Shepherd Dog/American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and an indoor/outdoor cat that should be inside when you come. I love dogs, I do Rover which if you don’t know is a pet sitting/dog walking app. Majority of the time I’ll be at clients houses often staying there. I’ve cared for many dogs, easily over 100 at this point, all kinds of dogs including some that have been reactive towards me upon meeting. The longest it’s taken a dog to like me is about two hours but most love me within 15 minutes. Well, except one, a grumpy old Chihuahua that only let one person in the household of five touch it, but even that dog let me pet it eventually. I’d love to meet your dogs, of course only if you would be ok with it. I’m also a pretty good pet photographer. I enjoy grooming and training as well but I’m not a certified groomer or trainer yet.

This is my own dogs backyard that potty, play, and train in for over 25 years. The fencing is privacy 4x6 panels and is over 25 years old. I am hosting it so other dogs and the humans can have a place to enjoy themselves without to many triggers. I have a little bit of training equipment. There are stick pole weaves and weave-o-matics (bought from our kennel club). I have some homemade Teacup agility equipment that was donated to my Granddaughter last Summer and I'll be pulling it out to see what is usable. Since this yard is my dogs area to potty and play I only bring out so much training equipment so they have plenty of room to roam. So keep an eye out on me changing photos so you know what equipment is out in the yard. I have kiddie pools that I'll be pulling out for my dogs to use as the Temperature rises. Unfortunately my town changes for water usage so they won't always be completely filled, just enough to keep the dogs cool. There are old dog toys in the yard that my dogs play with or destroy. Your dogs are welcome to play with them, just make sure to throw away the ones they destroy in the trash can. I also have a teether pole if your dogs like to teether pull. I have other training oddities that I will list as I round up for my dogs training. All I ask is please DO NOT bring SICK dogs to my backyard. If they are having Diarrhea, coughing, and etc. please don't bring them. Wait until it has cleared up. Please be considerate to others!
