Description

Welcome to the Ordway House! We're in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to the freeway, and we've got lots of shade, and good stuff to sniff and play with. We love dogs but since we don't have our own (yet), hosting a Sniffspot means we get to love all of yours (if you let us) as much as you do!

Party or Event$100

$100 and up depending on number of guests, length of event, and your needs, reuquires at least 7 days' notice. We have tons of fun party decorations both dogs and humans will enjoy, and include setup and teardown. We can also offer restroom access for large parties and groups reserving for 1.5 hours or more. While I can't provide any food-service materials like food, snacks, drinks, plates or cups, I am happy to provide a cooler and bags of ice for your self-provided food-service items.

Additional rules

- Parking is on the street; make sure you check for street cleaning. - Please pick up after yourself and pooch. - We are frequently working around the house, yard, and garage so if your dog is reactive to unknown humans, please let us know well in advance. - We have cats, but they're indoor; there is also a TNR cat colony in the area that a local rescue takes care of, and several of their cats often pass through. They'll likely make themselves scarce while you're here, but just in case, we warned you. - We also have squirrels. They'll probably make themselves scarce too, but again, fair warning. - Like most of Los Angeles, we've had a few urban coyote spottings in this area. We keep a predator shoo-horn handy just in case you happen to see one, and there are usage instructions written on it. - Yes, you are free to use any of the toys or waste bags in the gray bin; we'd like the toys back, but the bags should go in the trash. - Yes, you are free to use the sink! But we also believe dog drool is a great fashion accessory too so lean in if that's your thing. :)

Hi! My husband and I love animals - all of them! - and while we don't have a dog (yet) we'd love to meet yours if they're up to it. I've had a reactive dog in the past and I know how hard it is to find somewhere to let them be dogs without worrying about...well, everything. We hope they feel safe here!
