55We visited this Sniffspot and it is well named. It was definitely paradise for our dog! Jen greeted us warmly, offered us dog toys and made sure there was fresh water out. The yard was large with a good balance of sunny and shady areas and well secured fencing. Our dog is dog reactive but was extremely at ease and loved all the places to sniff. The only noise we heard was birds chirping and a rooster crowing. A plus for the humans was a view of the Cascades capped with snow. We will return!
55Beautiful yard, good space, water and toys available
55This is truly a dog’s paradise!! I took my dogs here today and they had a blast. Not only are the grounds beautiful, there are soooo many cool spots for little noses to explore. Shady spots, sunny spots, an adorable barn, a huge hammock, and even a pool for the dogs to play in! Jen (the host) thought of everything. She even left a roll of doggy bags out back for me to use. This has now become one of my favorite spots to visit - we will be back! :)
55We had a fantastic time at Jen’s Sniff Spot! The space was large, and well taken care of. Jen was a great host, and had lots of balls, a frisbee and chuckit so there was no need to bring our own. She even set up a kiddie pool which the boys loved and had towels for us to use to dry them off before going back in the car. To top it off, she left us bags to take home fresh apples from the trees in her yard. We had an all around great experience and can’t wait to come back! 😊
55Amazing spot and wonderful host! I have a lab/pit bull mix who is VERY reactive with other dogs. The host was very understanding and made sure her three dogs were out of sight and could not be heard. I’m very thankful and highly recommend this spot.
55Plenty big and open for the pups to run. Only notes are the yard was very wet (owner gave heads up and suggested boots) and there were a few apple trees with a bunch of fermenting dropped apples at the base. My new boy tried snarfing them repeatedly. They had fun and were pooped when we left!
55My pup and I had a great time - yard was beautiful and felt safe for my reactive dog. Fully fenced with tall fences. Sniffspot Owner was great to interact with.
55The property is beautifully kept, a perfect mix between woods and and open field. Not a neighbor, dog, or another animal in sight! With a reactive dog, I felt completely safe and let my dog run off leash worry-free. The host, Jen, was so sweet. She had a huge basket of toys, extra poo bags, and a fresh water bowl. Definitely worth the 35 minute drive from Mill Creek. Thanks again!!!
45Host was very accommodating and friendly. Yard was quite secure, and very well maintained. We had fun, even though it was hot and had to cut it short! Would definitely come back.
55Great open yard, secure fencing and very welcoming host. So nice to let our German Shep run without worrying about her jumping the fence. There was some mud but its the PNW and has been raining all week.

Description

1 acre securely fenced with 6 foot cedar fencing. Grass and trees, flat with no hills, well maintained with a kiddie pool for the dogs to cool off in. I have towels, a Chuck It, treats and water dishes outside. Quiet space and my four dogs will be kept inside, out of sight and sound so they don't disturb reactive dogs.

Hazards

There are some holes and depressions on my property as one of my rescues likes to lie in dirt where it is cool. Watch your step but they are easily seen. There are no other hazards on my property.

I recently lost a beloved rescue dog that was terribly abused prior to when I adopted him. He could not tolerate any other people besides me and no other dogs. Had Sniff Spot existed when I adopted him, it would have made our lives so much easier. I very much want to support people who adopt dogs from foster or rescue, who may not be able to take their dogs to public places. I would love to provide someone who takes the time to love and care for a dog who may have issues or be reactive with a safe option and I have the perfect property to do so.

No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails. There is a portapotty available on site at the main arena barn, please have your dog in the car prior to approaching the arena barn area. We also have Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, veterinarian Dr. Hannah Mueller, on site and offer canine acupuncture, chiropractic, SCENAR and Theraplate. These things can be scheduled through our website at: www.cedarbrookvet.com, or call or text us at 360-794-9255.

Magical Mossy Forest

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week.
