55My dogs love sniffing and exploring here, and there’s space for my bigger guy to get his zoomies out. I also like how peaceful it is, with the exception of the neighbor’s big dogs who do come out and bark a bit sometimes. It doesn’t bother my dogs though :)
55The garden had a large space for my puppy to sniff and run around and for me to do a recall practice with him. Parking was a little bit tricky because I believe that it was a Saturday morning. I will definitely visit again.
55This is a great spot! Our pup loved exploring and sniffing around to her heart’s content. We also briefly met the host when we arrived and she was so sweet to us and our dog. We will likely be back :)
55Beautiful garden and yard, amazing, kind, and sweet host. I'll definitely be back, so many amenities 💕
45Parking was a bit of a pain as there were no spots as noted and the streets aren’t well marked. The space was generally nice, but we found a few foxtails.
55Amazing Sniffspot right in our backyard of Oakland. Plenty of room to run, sniff around, and chill. We’ll def be back!!
55Loved the space, dogs from next door came out and barked momentarily but quickly went back in and wasn’t a problem.
55Love this place
55Thank you for having us! Our pups had a blast!
55Great spot for our reactive dog to play and run.

our 22 lb dog (parson terrier) will be inside the house and not visible to guests. ♥️🤗 Neighbors on one of the sides of the fenced property have two nice dogs but they are mostly not visible from our sniff spot. They are also out just for a limited time couple of times per day (behind a wooden fence).

Location

Description

A lot of vegetation and places to sit down, meditate, read a book, study, or have a picnic. Your pup will love to play in our one-acre garden. Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business”, smile. That’s a mandatory request. Waste bags are provided in a plastic box with other dog’s supplies) and a BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless, so please arrive always with your own supply of water and if it’s raining you might like to wear rain boots as well. Have fun!

Private 2 Acre Forest Swimming Hole In Rural Woodside (Update: 7 stairs added)

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!
