15We had to cut our visit short after only 15 minutes today. There are two sections of the fencing that are not properly secured. One is a section of fencing that isn’t farm fencing, but just cedar boards that were old and had some chunks/slivers out of them, and another section where they have a piece of farm fencing and a piece of chain link fencing in a wedge. Behind the wedge, there is another section of cedar boards and other materials that is not properly secured. There were two very vocal and aggressive dogs on the other side of that fencing in the neighbors yard. A smaller was a chihuahua that could stick its face through the slivered opening and a medium to larger dog that visiting dogs could see visually as well through the broken openings. Once the neighbor dogs came out and started barking, all dogs were nose to nose at the fencing and trying to find a place to get through. There was a board on the cedar fencing that was lifted at the bottom and they broke through. When this happened, luckily, the chihuahua ran off but the other dog came onto the sniff spot property. Then one of my dogs followed him back through to the neighbor’s yard. I could not fit through that opening so was stuck trying to secure our older husky mix, my 14 week old puppy, and frantically calling to get my other dog back through the fence. This was a really horrible experience. Then, upon leaving, we had to walk back through past the catio with three very excited dogs and there were cats on the catio even though we had messaged in advance per the host request if we had any cat reactive dogs. Which we do. After securing the dogs back in the car, I went and knocked on the door to connect with the host/owner of the home to let her know what had occurred to be sure that the yard would be secured prior to another person booking a visit. To her benefit, she was very gracious about it all and said she would request a refund for me. I am still leaving a 1 star because this is a huge safety risk and this could have ended horribly with several dogs injured if not dead. Especially with a chihuahua and a new puppy. Additionally, the neighbors on the other side of the property came out while we were there with their dogs barking and the humans were shouting at each other and loudly arguing the entire time. I am hoping that folks will see this if they have a visit booked, that the host gets the yard properly secured if she intends to continue providing a space on Sniffspot, and provide visitors with all of the pertinent information to make an informed decision before they book a visit. This yard was not fully fenced/secured and there are multiple other dogs visible and audible from the host’s yard. Jessicarae N.

Use discount code " Cucci's gift" to save $5 We've been super excited to see folks returning and enjoying the SUN!! Taking in that SNIFFTASTIC air!! Looks like the FUN is just beiginning to heat up! With over .54 acre there will be room for all the Shenanigans a pup could get in to. Bring your furry family member for a romp, roll and run in our 6ft tall fully fenced yard. Chase toys down into Nobil's Forest where you can watch birds, squirrels and a wide variety of insects and bees in our 100% organic yard. We've been organic for over 10 years and counting!! All our interior fencing has been assembled by the 14 year old freshman of the house. He really stepped up to help me get things in order. This Sniff Spot is run and maintained with help from both boys. We look forward to hosting you soon!

Hazards

Uneven terrain over the hill area. Mole holes, which the dogs all love to hunt thru. There could be a stray nerf dart (teens) or on occasion a piece of old glass gets uneatherd. We are diligent but things get missed (the yard was filled before we purchased and the dogs dig below our added top layer). Please be mindful of the spaces multi use as we must be. We love hosting the dogs and try to make sure everything is safe and secure. However things get missed, we appreciate all our guests and enjoy supporting our Sniff Spot community.💜 ⚠️There is a Catio on the way to the Sniff spot entrance, the kitties may or may not be outside.

We are hosting to established Sniff Spot guests of 6 month or more. Sadly we have had harassment and must require this for security resons.
