The land of the fosters

I live in a tiny home on the property but am gone a lot for work. Would be nice if others could use the land while I’m not there. I love bringing foster dogs to the property to run around and hang out for a bit. There is a chain link fence and one of my neighbors has a sweet outdoor dog that enjoys company so just FYI.

My backyard is all natural. Lots of shade trees and sticks if your dogs like them. You don’t have to worry about your dog messing anything up. They can even do a little digging if that’s what they like to do. One of my neighbors has an older dog that is not outside very often. If it does come outside, it may yap for a bit before he tires himself out.

Wide Open Space

Time for rain boots! Stream goes through the middle of the spot and it gets muddy so wear your rain boots! Wide open pasture, fully fenced in. There's only one spot with irrigation so it gets dry, crackling, and some parts down to dirt in the summer. We do have an area that is grass for the dogs to roll around in. In the winter there can be a stream of water going through the middle of the pasture after rain. We have a Big water dish for dogs. Small pool for dogs to play in. Have toys and treats for the pups. Have friends with dogs?! Bring them all and come make a day of it! Feel free to bring a bbq, stereo, or games. Plenty of room for both the pups and the people to hang out and have a good time! We now have a porta potty for guests!! There are sheep in adjacent pasture certain times of the year but there is a 50+ foot buffer zone fenced off to keep sheep away from the fence.

Update: As of early May the hot weather is turning the green grass dry quicker then expected. We are hopeful with some cooler days coming and some possible light rain that it will green up a bit. Recent picture are posted and I will do my best to update as the summer season continues. Fetch Field is an enclosed but wide open, natural field with plenty of room for your dogs to roam. Enjoy and relax under the shady oaks as your dogs explore or use the length of the yard to play fetch or to practice recall drills in a secure setting while you are training.

Country Serenity Private Dog Park In Woodland

Country Serenity is a 1/2 acre fully fenced non-irrigated pasture which is on our 20 acre farm. Note: Current conditions are dry and the spot is partially covered with medium bark to keep down the weeds and native grass. We mow oftern but given our rural location, foxtails and other nuisance weeds do exist, especially along the fence lines, as we do not use herbicides. Please come prepared for these conditions and gauge your risk tolerance for your pet. Risks may include foxtails, ticks, mosquitos, gnats, flies, uneven ground, mud. Hours of operation are generally 7:30 am-7:30 pm, but no lighting is provided so hours fluctuate with the dawn and dusk. Adjacent to the dog park is a barn with 2 friendly dwarf goats and some chickens. Enjoy the views of our olive orchard, a seasonal pond and 360 degree panorama of beautiful farmland right from the park. Please be aware that this is a working farm in an agricultural area so you may see and hear farm equipment and crop dusters in the vicinity.
