55Quiet and beautiful! This was perfect for my dogs to explore and get some much needed running out. There’s chuck it flinger and tennis balls around to play with, water and bowls, and poop station.
55Wonderful as always. The dogs love the fascinating smells and I love the beauty of the property
55As described. Large sloped and well maintained yard/meadow. Nice shady spots.
55A beautiful place! All I could hear with the wind. Pal had a great time!! No wonder it’s always booked.
55Beautiful location! My dog loved it
55The boys had a wonderful time here! My frisbee obsessed Sheltie loved the large wide open grass field for playing catch. There is a nice forested trail to do some sniffing on that is easy walking. Beautiful views from here as well.
55Great space to hang out with the doggo
55We had a fantastic time at this lovely property. So many great spaces for our pup to explore. We will be back!
55Nice large grassy hillside with some trees at the edges for cover.
55This is my most regular spot. My packs and I LOVE booking our adventures here, have for years, and plan on continuing to do so for years to come!

Description

We have 10+ acres with both lawn and some wooded areas. Both slopped and flat lawns surrounded by forest and trees. It is a great place to wear out even the most energetic of dogs. The property is completely private and not viewable from our neighbors. We have a smaller fenced yard off the house that you are welcome to use as well as the rest of the area is not fenced. Parking at the bottom of the hillside for more privacy and additional parking if needed at the top of the driveway. Garbage is available as well as bags for clean up, pooper scooper near bottom and top parking and balls for fetch. If your pup isn't ready for off leash play I have long leads and training leashes in several lengths up to 100ft that can be arranged prior to your visit. I generally keep to myself and let you have use of the area unless you have requested otherwise. I will gladly show you around if I am available. Just please try to set this up in advance as I work from home and would need to arrange this around my schedule. There are many wild animals on the property but during the daytime it's mostly just birds and bunnies.ni no longer offer treats in the supply boxes. The bear keeps taking off with them. Please reach out and send me a message if you have any questions.

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Most of the property is not fenced. Deer and squirrels are around in the mornings and sometimes during the day but are shy and will move on once they see you.

Hi Amanda here :) I love dogs and the outdoors. I really enjoy our property and spend most of my free time exploring it with my teen boys, our dog and any guests we have at the time. Outside of my day jobs as a IT professional I also pet sit and pet taxi. I have a passions for all types of animals and decided to surround myself with them whenever possible. We have two pets of our own. Our cat Ariel who is a tuxedo shorthair and Kiai our red Doberman Pincher.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have recently put down wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! We will be adding another bridge over the west end of the creek soon! We look forward to hosting you and your pups! 🐶 Thank you!
