55Great convenient spot. My Doberman loved zooming around. Nice spot for parking, great layout so I could keep an eye on her. She's still a puppy so having a good fenced area and being able to keep an eye on her easily was a big bonus.
55Awesome good large grassy field if your pups need to run!
55Nice open field for the dogs to romp in the cool morning air!
55Great spot to let dogs run and play.
55This is a great wide open spot for dogs to run, sniff, and play fetch. Our dogs loved it!
55My pups had a great time here! There was a place to sit, and I didn’t worry about them being able to escape. I’d definitely take them back!
55Such a nice area for the dogs to run! Would definitely make this a regular running place for the dogs.
55Great spot! Dogs loved the endless ball toss and we loved the clean open space!
55This was our first time using Sniffspot and we’ll will for sure be using this service again. It is amazing to have somewhere safe to have your dogs off leash around other dogs you know and trust!
45A fun place for the dogs to run but a bit steep in price for two dogs. Also, if it is raining there is no shelter. We left early because of the rain.

Description

Conveniently located 2 minutes off of I-205 and 7 min off of I-5! This is a fully private space, separated from the residence yard. Fully fenced & recently added 360° privacy screen. The property is a flat field, with short grass, which makes for the perfect space for your dog(s) to run to their hearts desire! This is also an ideal spot for training, especially disengage/reengage recall. You can keep an eye on your pups from all areas. The field is graded for proper water drainage, so there won’t be much mud during the rainy season. There is privacy from the main residence and the road. Please read spot specific rules when booking. **If you are bringing a foster dog, feel free to reach out to me to receive a discount code! **If you would like to book a reservation that exceeds an hour, or book for a larger party of dogs, feel free to message me and I will open the calendar up to allow you to do so! ** The table and umbrella are mainly to provide shade in the summer, but there won’t typically be dry seating when it is raining, although I do my best to dry it off between the rain. I would still advise to bring an umbrella when there is a chance of rain if you prefer to stay dry.

Cleanliness

Hi there 👋🏼 I’m Kailyn. I’ve got a wild pack who’s fun, loving, and a touch of crazy! I started Open Acres because I loved the idea of sharing our property to give dogs who may not have the opportunity, the chance to run to their hearts desire, like we all know they deserve! I’m here to provide a safe and fun environment for your pups, but at the same time I also strive to provide a comfortable and accommodating space for you as the owners to relax as well!

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!
