55What a wonderful area to bring your pup to! So much open space, toys for your pup to play with, and even a sick library! How cute! There are plenty of seating areas around the property and the cutest swing-set for you to sit on while you watch your pup. I cannot wait to come back!
55This was a great experience for our dog and us. Four acres was large enough to run and play but not too big to get lost. The trails were clear and the field was mown. All the amenities were great. We will definitely be going back.
55My dogs had a great time here! There's a wooded area where lots of sniffing and exploring can be done, along with a grassy area for one of our pups to play fetch freely. We did some recall training with our dogs here, since there are so many things for them to become absorbed with and found this to be perfect for this type of training. There's a few spots around the property to sit, and my husband and I were able to eat lunch while our dogs sniffed around. This is a great spot!

55What a perfect Sniffspot! Plenty of walking trails and seating areas. We came in the middle of the day, and the wooded areas made it plenty shady for us. Easy to find, easy to get in and out. We hope to be back again. A great spot!

55Sylvia was having so much fun, I added 30 minutes to her reservation. What a great place to do all the things she loves- sniffs, zoomies, sun bathing, chewing sticks and sitting with her human. It is so rewarding to take off the leash and let her be a dog, with no worries about her safety.

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill! Mutts and Wiggle Butts is perfect for the pet who needs a break to run and play or for someone who needs safety for dogs and children to play. Feel free to let your pet run through the fenced yard and explore. The yard is mowed weekly and may have some bare spots and occasionally dog poop. We are not fancy. We love Mutts and all Wiggle Butts. Big or little, there is something for everyone. We are around a mile off Hwy 85 and Business 85. A bench, covered porch, seating, and cold bottles of water are always included. There is a fire pit on site and add this to your reservation to roast some smores or toast your wiggle butt. There is a mini fridge on the back porch with water bottles for you and your fur friends. Plenty of parking. Please park where the owners can still access both carports.
