55Had to check out this spot before it closes and so glad we did! Beautiful spot that is perfect for fetch. Hoping they consider reopening in the future because this place spot is fantastic.
45The spot was really nice and my dogs really enjoyed it. Only concern I had was the security of the initial gate you walked through (held by a chain and broken carabiner) - a dog with any kind of strength could easily push that open. But as the spot is closing in less than a week I guess it doesn’t matter.
55Felt very secure, my escape artist Ruby loved being able to run
55Love this spot, and sad it's closing. Great fenced in area to let my two dogs run. Well maintained.
55I am really sad that this location is closing as it is the closest to my home and my dog really enjoys it! It is an excellent sniff spot and great for dogs to just run around and be dogs.
55My baby Nova and her sister, Playa, loved this place! A lot of space for them to run around and spend sisters’ quality time together. Very clean and secure. We’ll definitely come back!
55My dogs loved the open area! Grass was mowed well, wish the sides were weed whacked! But other than that, it was a 5/5.
55Our baby Nova and her sister, Playa, loved this place! They had plenty of space to run around and spend quality time as sisters. The space was cleaned and very well taken care of. We’ll be back!
55Perfect spot that our pup loves to run around at! Easy to find and definitely will be going back!
55This is a great spot for dogs to let off some steam, play and run. The area is big, clean, and the grass was cut short. We didn’t see anyone else while we were there. There is a bucket for trash as you leave and extra poop bags if you forgot your own.

Hazards

We're a dog training facility next door to a vet hospital. There's a good chance there'll be visible dogs during your stay. We train in the parking lot, teach lessons in the parking lot, and potty dogs out front. You'll be separated by the fence, but its common dogs are visible. If one of the trainers is in the yard upon your arrival, a quick wave will let them know someone is there for a rental! They don’t always know a rental is coming, especially if something is booked same day.

Additional rules

There are likely to be dogs visible during your visit. If a trainer is in the yard, a quick wave will let them know a sniffspot is there. Often they’re aware one is coming and keep the yard clear, but last minute bookings do not always reach them same day.

Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property, and wildlife and farm animals are abundant. Because we have free range chickens and goats up near our home, all dogs must be leashed or on a long line. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. Any dogs who enter our farm area and hurt or traumatize animals will be fined. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property. 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸 We are going into hunting season, and will be closed on the weekends so my husband can hunt. I will make sure any additional days he’s hunting I have the spot blocked off. For extra precaution (because there are properties neighboring us that people hunt), dogs should be kept on leash through hunting season (Oct 1-Dec 31). I’ve also purchased 2 orange dog vests that I’ll hang up in the hay barn/hut by the parking area that you can use while walking. (You may want to wear an orange hat as well). Just to be clear- no one will be hunting on our property when the trail has open days. I just want to be extra cautious because there are fields/woods outside our property that people do hunt. 😁.
