Description

Welcome to our farm! We raise endangered heritage breed chickens and geese, produce farm fresh free range eggs and ship organic bare root plants globally! We have 2 acres which we don't currently use, but keep mowed. The street side is completely fenced with a 4 foot fence. All other sides are densely tree lined, except a gap at the east side of the property for water access to the clean seasonal stream. There is a large fire pit and groups of up to 10 humans and 6 dogs are welcome. Host's son is in college for animal behavior, has 3 years of experience working professionally with dogs, and 2 with farm animals. He is available to provide dog sitting if guest needs separately. To access the area, park at the detached garage and walk to a break in the fence to the southeast. As you move east past the entrance, you will be in the field. Please ensure dogs stay leashed until they are in the field.

Hazards

Uneven ground at field edges. Water flows heavy in the stream during and after rain, please watch children near water. If using the fire pit, please exercise fire safety and inform host ahead of time. Remington is 22, has worked with dogs at a large vet office in North Carolina 2 years, at AL Van Humane Society for a year, and is attending college to be an animal behavioralist. This is a drop in service and will be provided in sniffspot area. Water, quality interaction and supervision will be provided.

Although, I am available to meet you and point you in the direction of the spot entrance on the first visit, if your dog is reactive and you prefer not to, that is perfectly fine. It is YOUR preference. :)

I am a farmer and disabled veteran who raises chickens and geese. We have dogs and cats, but none of the animals have access to the acres which your dogs can enjoy.

Our 100 acre farm has been in the family for over 30 years. We have put a lot of time and effort into the property. And we would love to share it with you and your fur family to. The trails are all very well maintained. You will likely see birds, deer and plenty of wildlife throughout the trials. We hope to see you out and about enjoying it just as much as we do with all of our animals. ****Notes WE ARE CLOSED…. Until the First of December🌲 due to Hunting Season it’s open firearm. We are not hunting but we aren’t sure if our neighbors are and we want to be safe. Sorry for the inconvenience. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon 🐶🌲😊 Happy FALL🍁🍂Please keep the weather in mind. All of our trails are in the woods. We HIGHLY recommend if the wind is above 15 mph to reschedule. (You can cancel and get your money back-we understand) We just don’t want you or your pet getting hurt if anything were to happen in the winter woods. One other thing. Don’t forget bring those Boots.
