55Great space for dogs to RUN and sniff! Great variety of toys to play with. We stayed in Field 2 because it was most secure and it was plenty of space to have fun. We will definitely be back!
55Very large fenced areas, lots of running room, and you can see horses nearby! The dogs loved this giant field to run in. There is a lot of bees in the lower portion of the yard near bushes 🐝 so keep a close eye on your pups
55Beautiful spot! The 3rd field is what makes this spot, it is huuuuuuuge and my pup loved running back and forth. The neighbor dog did run up to the fence in the 2nd field but he didn't bark or make a fuss and when my reactive pup barked at him he just went back towards his house. You could hear dogs barking from inside the hosts home but my sensitive pup didn't mind it.
55Choose your own adventure! I love how detailed the host was in their description and it really helped us to choose which field would work best for us. Field 2 is a great hangout and ball throwing area, and there is an open space in between the boundary fence and the neighbor’s fence so it’s a great place to work on recall. My three are all trained and large, so I felt confident exploring Field 3 as well and it was a perfect place to run and sniff! We will be back!
55Ample space and well-maintained yard.
55Montana has an amazing spot! We are so lucky to have found this place. The property is beautiful and well kept. You have access to all 3 fields. We mostly stayed in field 2 which is completely secure. We spent some time in field 3, but I recommend this field only if your dog has great recall since the field is so big and not totally fenced in. My boys also enjoyed sniffing around field 1. Montana has balls, a chuck it, soccer balls and a kiddie pool. Additionally, there were towels available for use on muddy paws and extra poop bags. My boys enjoyed seeing the horses! Also, Cooper did come up to say hi but not for very long. My dogs don’t get along well with other dogs, so we stayed to the side while Cooper got his sniffs in. Montana had great communication with us during and after our visit. We will definitely be back 🐾
55My Goldens had a blast on their latest visit. They love your pool and my youngster had a blast chasing and playing with your various toys. Thanks for hosting.
55Large acerage that is well kept and safe for pups. Thank you so much for keeping it safe and letting us use it. We will be back.
55What a fantastic property for those with dogs who want to explore and run. Great setup with clean water, toys, and even towels to dry paws. The explanation on the different available fields was great. Our boys enjoyed fields 2 and 3.
55Amazing field! My dogs loved the space to run and come back!

Lower field (field 3) has one hole, now patched, as well as a hole dug by coyotes. These are visibly marked on the fencing with orange flags.

Description

Closing October 21st for winter. Please read ALL descriptions (including photos) before entering property. We have 3 separate fields. Black berry bushes are very present in all fields. FIELD 1: Closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this field “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills. Orange flags indicate boundaries with a buffer to prevent trespassing onto neighboring property back into the woods. There are times when I have to leave or enter the property with my infant, which I will notify you if this is to happen during your visit. Our two dogs can be heard sometimes from this field (inside the house). You will find the 2nd gate entrance here, into field 2. Look for the black garbage can, as well as blue kiddy pool to navigate to field 2. FIELD 2: the best field! It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. The fencing is approximately 3’ high. Horses can be seen from this field on neighbor’s property, along with their dog, Cooper. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. I try my best to maintain and refresh a kiddy pool and the water bowl. Water access I strongly recommend against use during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance (on foggy days). is in field 1 by the house, please turn off with hose in “on” position to prevent built-up water pressure in the hose. Field 3: this is an excellent field for dogs with recall skills. Through the first two fields, is field 3, a property long and flat, one which openly borders our neighbor’s property. You must go through the gate at the bottom of field 2 to enter this field. While this field is technically entirely fenced, the entire property is not all ours, so we have marked boundaries using orange flags. Please reference photos for what these orange boundary flags look like. The orange flags indicate hazards along fence line, entrance to bee hives, and boundaries between properties. Cautions: Coyotes frequent this lower field on a weekly basis, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. I strongly recommend against use of this field during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance. Also, coyotes tend to be more active during these foggy periods. This field (field 3) is a split property (2 parcels), half ours, half theirs. The neighboring owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos of orange flags designating boundary lines). It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, and uneven grass. There is a digging area here too. I have seen coyotes, skunks, deer, owls, a feral cat, and bunnies in this field. Horses and neighbor dog cooper are sometimes visible. Please contact me with any questions!

Hazards

Please read all descriptions. Coyotes in lowest field in early mornings and evenings. Lower field (field 3) is not ideal for small dogs. You may bring them, however be extra cautious of birds of prey, and note that the fencing holes may allow your smaller dog to slip through. The lower field is divided into two open parcels, half of which is owned by folks who do not live there. The wooded area bordering their property on the west side of the lot is likely home to coyotes, so small dog owners must take caution. We do have a coyote vest for dogs 16-27lbs upon request. Photos show accessible areas with debris. Please read all photo descriptions.

Extras

Coyote Vest$5

We have a coyote vest available for smaller dogs 20-30lbs. It is vibrant hunter’s orange, which helps spotting smaller dogs from afar, and provides some level of protection in the lower field against potential predators.
